“Excellent Hotel”

My wife, 2 young daughters and I spent 2 days and one night at the venetian, Palazzo hotel.
The amenities and service were excellent. We were in a suite. My daughter decided to sleep on the couch so we asked for extra blankets which were delivered very promptly.
This is definitely an excellent hotel to relax and shop and gamble(if you are so inclined) without going out of the complex. Other sites of the Vegas strip are walking distance.

We have traveled to the Venetian for past 9 years for first week of March Madness. Big sports book weekend. The accommodations are always good even though this weekend the rates are very high. Rooms are spacious and the service is generally very good. Problem with stay this year is the property has cut back severely on wait staff (cocktail staff) in casino and dramatically in the sport book. Took 20-30 minutes to get a drink at table or in the book.

Would have never looked around for another property, but next year we might unless something changes.

The checkin was quick, we even got the room before noon. And the location is good, close to shopping and foodcourt (fashion show mall). Also you have plenty of choice for restaurant from high class to grab n go. The room is spacious and the bed linen is very comfy.

The Venetian is a solid 4 star resort. Its grand architecture and spacious rooms are a huge plus. But, if your going to compare this place to Cesars or Bellagio , it doesn't measure up. The shopping, food, air quality, and food are all better at the other 2.

My big issue with Venetian is that once you get past the grand entrance, the casino floor looks like anything you would see at Harrahs and smells just as bad. The ash smell is quite overpowering and its just about impossible to walk from the front desk to your room without smelling like a cigarette for the effort. In contrast, the gambling floors at Cesars and Bellagio are quite nice and pleasant. We did all our gambling at those hotels for this reason.

If you are a smoker, I guess it doesn't matter. But for the same money, why wouldn't you stay at Cesars or Bellagio?

We really enjoyed our stay at the Venetian, but be prepared to pay for upgrades. We had booked a wonderful deal on bookit.com as a mystery hotel, and paid well below the price of a normal Friday night, so we weren't too upset to pay $50 for the room upgrade with a beautiful view of the Mirage and for immediate check-in (as we were there much before check-in time). HUUUUGE hotel, and we had to take two elevators to get to casino. Very easy to get lost! Highly recommend the gondola, it was fun and memorable. The casino was very much of a disappointment to my husband and I. We're not big gamblers, but enjoy video poker and some low limit tables. We wouldn't be served drinks unless we had more than $20 on our machine at any given time. So, if we started wtih $40, and was down to $10, we weren't comped drinks unless we stuck another $10 in the machine. Kinda crappy...Doesn't make sense, because I could've just cashed out right after receiving my comped drink! We were pretty much ignored, even sitting right at the main bar in the casino. Much different (and worse) experience than enjoying the bars/video poker at Caesar's. Really loved the hotel and it's a good location--again, still prefer Caesar's for the location.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Venezia tower. Very nice, but again, two elevators to get to main lobby/casino.

Just spent three nights at the Venetian. Excellent service and beautiful accommadations. Felt very secure in this huge hotel. Very clean and the staff were super friendly and very helpful. We will go back.

We have stayed in many of the hotels both on the Strip and Downtown. Our recent stay won us over to The Venetian. The size of the property is somewhat overpowering at first but once you aclimate it is an easy place to navigate. The hotel and casino staffs were exceptional. The restaurants were exceptional. A first rate experience from start to finish.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Venetian Tower. Ask for a room close to the elevators.
