Reviewed 10 April 2012

We stayed there for 3 nights during Easter long weekend. Since we are traveling on a budget, we didn't get any room service or room update. our room is on 19th floor, it's very clean. We were happy about the room and we enjoyed the swimming pool.

Spent 3 days in Las Vegas at the Venetian Resort Hotel and it was fantastic. My wife and I had always admired the hotel and never had the chance to stay there. We stayed this time and our room was on the 12th floor and over looking the main strip. We were across from the Mirage where the volcano erupts hourly at night and we had a show right from our window. Had a huge window and it was as if you were looking out into the world and what a wonderful view we had. The staff were very experienced and very polite. Well decorated and they spared no expense. We will stay there again and I would highly recommend it. It is worth the rate and centrally located so you can enjoy the area without driving. Taxis are plentiful and reasonable. Fantastic.

Room Tip: Get high and stay on the front side of hotel overlooking the strip.

The Venetian was more than I ever thought I could experience! I've stayed in hotels around the world and have actually been to Venice but nothing prepared me for this week long vacation! The rooms were beautiful and HUGE! Usually when I've stayed in other major hotels the lobby is what you are spending money on but not so with this hotel. The room was actually bigger than my room at home! The bathroom alone is worth the price. There really was no need to leave the hotel and because of the EXTREMELY hot conditions outside sometimes we didn't! The only draw back to my stay was seeing the hookers coming up the elevator with us...but I guess what they say is true...What happens in Vegas STAYS in Vegas!

Room Tip: The view of the pool was excellent and the mountains were breathtaking!

This hotel has become the standard for me when i'm at trade shows, at the Sands Expo, for good reason.
The level of service is top-notch. I love the property, the grand canal is brilliant, the finish work is amazing, and the rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed.
The hotel is beginning to show some wear, so the "fresh" lustre it's wearing, but overall it's still a world-class resort.
Everything one might expect from this caliber resort.

I hadn't stayed in the Venetian for awhile but stayed there on my way to Phoenix Spring Training. they have finally finished off the entrance from the parking garage so it is comfortable for my wife who has some physical problems. The rooms have been freshened up and it is as good as Palazzo now. The Italian restaurant and the Mexican restaurant next to the end of the gondola ride were both very good and of course Tao is always fun. Postrio on the plaza was an eating adventure as usual. The tables were cold as usual. I seem to only win at the Wynn and NY NY. The Spa is OK but they still need to do some work on it to get it to top status. The NCAA's always seem to raise the energy at this time of year. My wife loves the shopping.

We arrived 4/5 for a 5 day stay with my wife and an experienced vegas couple.I had read reviews about clerks asking if you wanted upgraded rooms and we politely declined. Also heard about a charge for a resort fee so I asked about any fees that would be added to our pre-paid package and was informed that indeed there was a $22.40 per day resort fee. This gave us in room internet ,a daily paper that you needed to go get and gym access. Some reviewers were put off by this but you need to ask questions so there are no surprises at checkout. One other note of caution to all travelers these days - the automatic charge mini bar.Upon arrival I noticed the tv in the living room was not working.A maintenance guy came in minutes to fix the power supply however in the process an assortment of snacks that were neatly stacked on a tray were moved off that tray. When I checked my account on the tv prior to checkout I was amazed to find I was being billed for $90+ for snacks.A call to the front desk informed me that every time an item is moved they assume you ate it. They removed all charges. As far as the property itself it's hard to describe how beautiful it is from the incredible marble floors to the ornate arching ceilings. To get to our rooms in the venetian tower you must take the obligatory walk on the perimeter of the casino, it's a bit of a walk and you will notice cigarette smoke. Once inside our luxury suite 15-321 we were extremely pleased with our room. The huge marbled bath was just inside the door.It had a separate marble shower, a marble tiled tub, a tv above a double sink marble vanity. All of this was set on a a beautifully patterned inlaid marble floor.Do you see a theme here? Marble all over till it takes your senses silly. The king size bed was great and having a separate living room was a real bonus. I'm not a big gambler but found a comfortable spot at the sports book bar and played enough to get comfortable with the video poker machines. At this point I must say any and all hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Not once did we come across anyone who was rude or inconsiderate. This is a first class hotel with outstanding restaurants and shops. The canal ride was a wonderful but short trip but the gondoliers put on a show.We loved this place but be warned, it's huge so be prepared to do a lot of walking.
