My husband and I are locals here in Reno and love to dine out. We have tried nearly every steakhouse in the area and were excited to try Bimini, the new steakhouse at the Peppermill. We were terribly disappointed to say the least. We expected this to be a pricier meal, but were a little shocked by the $250 bill for the two of us. Even that would have been okay if it had been a great experience. It was not. The "ambiance" was non-existent (maybe equivalent to that of an Applebee’s), the quality of the food was slightly better than their coffee shop and the overall dining experience was lackluster. I could go on in detail about all the things we disliked, but instead I will just recommend what we feel is far and away the best dining experience in Reno, Harrah's Steakhouse. If Harrah's Steakhouse is a "10" (which it is in our book), then I would give Bimini is a 3 or 4.
