We stayed here while house hunting and could not have been more pleased. Felt like a mountain inn. The casino atmosphere was a bit classier than the other places and it was close to a nice beach area to walk to. We ate both in the Latin Soul restaurant and the breakfast restaurant were amazed how good the food was. The room we were in was nice, and very clean. We found this a good value. We live here now but would highly recommend to visitors.

Lakeside hotel and casino is a very friendly place. They honor your birthday with coupons for drinks, gambling and dinner. The food is really great in both resturants. Del Sol is above average in every way.
They gave me a birthday present of a $200 video poker win whle I was having my free birthday drink!
I didn't stay at the hotel but it looked like a clean and nice stay right across from the Lake. Nice area to take a walk.

My husband and I have stayed in hotel for years and took a chance and stayed here. Big mistake! The rooms are dingy, the mattresses are totally uncomfortable, and there is a foul musty odor in the rooms. Plus, the walls are thin so we spend most of the night awake listening to an out of control party next door and a yapping dog on the other side - with no assistance from the front desk or security! Also, our waiter at the "Timber House" restaurant was rude. We received our meal and noticed that he failed to order my husband's lobster and when we inquired about it, he argued claiming he didn't hear my husband ask for it. We understood, and acknowledged that it could of been a misunderstanding and we simply wanted the order to be placed and didn't mind waiting for it, but he continued to argue! Definitely disappointing and not worth the money!

We stayed here many times in the past and really enjoyed the rooms and casino. We payed over 200.00 for a dark dingy room that had a foul odor. The electrical outlets were so loose that the TV would shut off. There have been absolutely no up keep in the last 20 yrs! We were so disappointed and we will never stay here again.

We are disappointed when we hear a guest was not completely satisfied with their stay. In our business, if a guest is not happy, we are not happy. We too are human and make mistakes. Though our rooms are not new, we pride ourselves on their upkeep and cleanliness. We take that very seriously. Our guests are our most valuable source of information and we are glad to know where our opportunities for improvement lie. Thank you for taking the time to write your review.

My husband and I vacationed here for the third time (from NYC) and really enjoyed ourselves once again. It is a place that locals frequent and we enjoy the low-key atmosphere. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Can't beat the Timber House restaurant prices - breakfast was great at $4.99. Staff was very accommodating - we had a slight "hiccup" with our credit card which Jamie at the front desk couldn't have corrected any faster. She really represents what the Lakeside says they are: "Always Friendly". There are many perks to be had including earning comps from dining credits. Casino is small but sometimes that's a pleasant change from the Vegas mega-caverns where you have to walk for miles. My only complaint is that there's a little too much cigarette smoke for my taste.
We would also recommend the Safari Rose boat ride and the drive around the lake - just spectacular. Good restaurants are Cafe Fiore and Nepheles. Will definitely return - did I mention that the temperature during the day was in the 70's while NY was 105? Need I say more???

Thank you for another return visit to our property. We appreciate not only your visit, but also for taking the time to write a review.

We'll see you the next time you leave the heat of New York behind and relax in the mild temps of a typical summer Tahoe day!
