The Gold Hill Hotel had great service at the restaurant, saloon, and hotel. We were very pleased staying in room 12. It was spacious and the balcony was quaint. The bartender was wonderful and all of the servers were very good. We enjoyed meeting Matthew and Patrick they made us feel very welcomed. The hotel is very charming if you are looking for a comfortable authentic western experience. I recomend going on the ghost tour they have on a couple of Thursday nights each month. The dinner was wonderful and the tour was really fun. My daughter really enjoyed staying here and just loved Miss Kitty the hotel Inn Keeper.

Let me start by saying thank you to Matthew for developing such a great property. Meeting him was a great way to start our visit. The hotel was a complete surprise. We ended up staying in the Brewery cabin which we had no idea we had booked. (Hotels.com needs better details and descriptions). Our cabin was well appointed with nice furniture and linens and a lovely kitchen and dining area. A few cob webs and some dust here and there but it added to the ambiance. The view from the porch was breathtaking. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Five star food and service. Noel was a professional, knowledgeable and super friendly server. She made our visit even more enjoyable than it already was. We wished we could have stayed longer. Beautiful location. Tons of character. Welcoming staff. Hope to return one day!

Good large room (#10) with a comfortable bed and older furniture, some of it a bit nicked up, in keeping with the western theme, and some old fashioned looking wallpaper. The room also had a small balcony. There is a bar, and a very nice restaurant attached. My only complaint is that the room was cooled by a window air conditioner, which took a long time to cool the room down.

This hotel is very cool and old! The restaurant has very good food! I had the Tri tip and bacon wrapped prawns, my wife had the Salmon, both were fantastic. We stayed in room 1 its at the top of the stairs from the restaurant and bar. There was a wedding party at the bar area and it was loud. And people coming up the stairs were very loud which kind of sucked. The room was small but nice. Don’t stay in room 1 if there is a party downstairs.
