There is a wide selection of food. It is not a true Mexican restaurant, but there are plenty of items on the menu such as tacos and burritos.... The bar is a hang out for locals and they serve a wide range of beer and of course, tequila. The bar can get noisy and crowded on music nights or trivia nights. It is a good value, in my opinion.

Great nachos and margaritas. I had burritos for entree and they were delicious too. Staff friendly. Restaurant is a bit tired looking and could do with some redecoration.

The first time we came the noise level was awful. Vowed we would not come back. We tried again after more than a year and was surprised that it was much better. On a lesser note, they gave us the wrong order!! They rectified it but still. We do frequent the other Shortys and have had no difficulties so maybe luck of the draw.

This restaurant has the charm and quality found at a sugar fest at the local elementary school cafeteria. Dinner service includes loud and out-of-control children at most tables who occasionally run about the restaurant. The parents are knocking back beers and flowery drinks to help them ignore the chaos. The noise level is so high that I could barely communicate with my dinner companion. The pretend-Mexican food is loaded with sugar and stripped of spices to make it palatable to the target market of young families. Sweet corn brad in the salad, salsa with no spice right out of a can, sweet buns on the sandwiches, spinach sauce that is cheese with no real flavor...the list goes on. It was also extraordinary how the restaurant has found jalapenos without any spice and minimal flavor. I suppose this is a great place for young families and for drinking, but there are better options for dinner

Whether you eat here or the one in Manchester/Hooksett it is always good. May not be true Mexican more Tex-Mex it good. The River City beans are a must have! The margaritas are great. Never have had a bad meal or service. There were 4 adults and 4 children and we were there on a busy Friday night. We sat in the floating bar and had wonderful service.
