Wow, what a great little place! If you blink going through Center Ossipee Village, you might miss it. The friendly guy behind the bar gave us samples of three very different types of mead, and they were all wonderful. We’d never had it before and had no idea what to expect. We stayed and I had two flights (hubby is a beer guy) and shared the Ploughman’s Lunch and the pickled carrots. And dessert—the Sundae with fresh berries, vanilla ice cream and chunks of honeycomb. One of the best desserts I’ve ever had. I had to limit my purchase to five different bottles but could have bought one of each one I tried. Two interesting (and awesome) flavors were Thai Basil, Lemongrass and Kefir Lime as well as Fig, Vanilla and Cardamom (a Swedish spice). Delicious! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Stopped by to pick up my quarterly club mead order, usually I have it shipped and it’s been years since I have gone to the meadery I am so glad we went again. Wonderful atmosphere. Great staff. The Meads are made with different ingredients and different combinations which I find to be unique.
Honestly obsessed with this place. The mead was just unbelievably good. I wasn't expecting much as I've never really loved mead before and was just looking for something to do. We tried flights of mead and they were all just so good it was incredible. We got a cheese board and all the cheese was amazing. At this time they had outdoor seating around a fire pit and it was just so relaxing and nice. The service was great. After we ate my boyfriend and I dropped over $100 just buying mead and stuff to take home as gifts. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere (cute small town but very small) but I would come back here just to go here again. If you're anywhere near here you must go.
Stopped for a "tasting" and ended up staying for a few hours! Had the "tasting" and then sampled items from the interesting menu, time flew by! Great atmosphere, plenty of space to chat with friends or enjoy many of the board games available while downing your favorite mead. Now part of our "road trip" experiences!
If you never had mead -- or great mead -- you should come to this place. I love the taster serving, which is great for deciding what bottle to buy. The atmosphere is cozy and a bit rustic, and the staff are quite friendly. It's in a sleepy little town and not (yet) a whole lot going, but absolutely worth the trip.
Great place for flights of mead and cocktails, loved the goat cheese with crostini and sweet pea hummus. Friendly staff and homey feel.
