The room is old and nothing like the website. We paid for OCEAN FRONT and got stuck with ocean view. The staff/manager essentially told me to deal with it. My family and I will never stay here again. It was close to the beach but it was nothing like advertised.

Great Place for a beach break (Only during hot summer days).
Installations are well maintained and type of renovated. Excellent Bar, Restaurants and personnel.
It was a little costly due to the summer season but worthy.
We'll definitely comeback

Room Tip: Rooms facing the beach are more expensive

Recently spent two nights (7/24-7/25) at the Ashworth by the Sea. Overall, it was a very nice stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the furniture was very nice, and the selection of TV channels was phenomenal. With exception of a long step out of the shower, the bathroom was immaculate and beautiful.Really enjoyed the beach and fireworks on the first night of our visit, but the weather turned rainy and unusually cold on the second day, so we went shopping in Maine.

Room Tip: Unless you are traveling during the off-season, a room with a side view of the ocean is the best val...

The room was neat, clean and well stocked with towels after the first day. The housekeepers were more than willing to provide you with whatever our needs were. Front desk was great. Locked my key in the room, no problem to have them open it. Followed security protocols so I knew nobody else could just come in and say the same thing. Needed to show ID. Liked that feature.
Pool was great for the kids on the day it poured.
Overall, very good vacation.

Just came back from a long weekend at Hampton Beach. Decided to stay at the Ashworth by the Sea. Booked a double queen room and a king room. I was traveling with 4 of my adult children and my son in law. This is a great full service hotel that is just about perfect for the Hampton Beach experience. Nice rooms, clean, beds were super comfy, bathrooms spacious. The desk staff and waitstaff knew my name from day one and personalized their greeting to me every day.

Loved the Breakers for dinner, as well as the bountiful breakfast buffet. Food was excellent and I ate one of the best filets that has ever passed my lips. So, so, so tender and perfectly cooked to my most favorite medium rare. Adequate wine list, good choices of bottle and tap beer, and some inventive speciality cocktails as well. A two-piece band was playing one of the nights and they were pretty darn nice to listen to while we sipped and munched the night away. The website says you can make reservations, but this was not the case. No worries, we were seated in about 15 minutes for dinner and immediately for the buffet breakfast.

My daughter and her husband hung out on the patio restaurant and said that the drinks and the pub style menu were perfect for a leisurely sunny afternoon. Their lobster salad and juicy burger hit the spot.

The breakfast buffet was plentiful and included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, blueberry and plain pancakes, lots of fresh sliced fruits, danish, cereal, yogurt...something for everyone. I had a mimosa with my first breakfast there.

They have a fitness area, but it is fairly small with 3 treadmills and one elliptical. Not much space to stretch or exercise. I spent 90 min on the treadmill and was never disturbed. Maybe it doesn't get that much use because this hotel is right across from the beach. Folks probably get plenty of exercise on long walks at sunrise and sunset and frequent trips to the beach and the boardwalk. They also had a pool which was a good size. It is indoors which is convenient on those days when the raindrops are falling, the temperature drips, or you have baked your skin red in the sun, but still want to dunk yourself in the water.

Our rooms had their own balconies and mine had a great view of the beach. It is a little pricey. Our rooms ranged from $320-400 a night. I honestly thought it was worth it. It has valet parking, three restaurants, indoor pool, fitness center, room service and just about the friendliest staff that I have encountered at a hotel Clean, safe, and comfortable..

I will be back again soon I hope. I read on line that it is open all year round. The beach must look beautiful in the winter and I bet the big fireplace in the dining room roars with a warm glow on chilly evenings.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony with a view of the ocean.

This hotel is very nice. It's directly across from the ocean. We had our wedding reception in the ballroom and everyone stayed at the hotel. All of our guests had such a wonderful stay, no complaints. The staff is very friendly. It would be nice if they had a complimentary breakfast. Everything was great!
