Took my grandchildren to the flume and basin. My grandparents took me many times. Beautiful walk and trails. Harder for me now I'm older. Wonderful river falls past it. Maybe last free attraction in Franconia notch

This was our first stop of many as we drove around the White Mountains and a good introduction. There is a large car park and signed walking routes, including a walk to the Basin which takes around 5 minutes. The Basin itself is fenced off to prevent access but it's a lovely spot to relax and take some photos and well worth taking a few minutes to visit if you are passing but I'm sure you could spend much more time here if you had the time.

The scenery here is beyond words. It is extremely beautiful and such a great place to visit. It was well worth the hike around when your able to get to a nice spot where you can put your feet in the freezer rocky water!
