Wow - just the way to stay the day. Excellent bacon, good hash, efficient and fri we ndly service and a good mix of locals and visitors. As for the dinner itself - a little piece of nostalgia providing the perfect setting.

This is a must stop when in the area. Clean and helpful staff and owner. Food was excellent and served hot. Sign said open at 7:00 however we were there before that and they still served us. My husband has food allergies and when asked about something on the menu the owner came out to answer our questions. I highly recommend this Diner.

Visited recently on a Thursday at 10am, place was packed. Not easy to locate, past reviews helped. Very small parking area and all dirt. We were seated outside on cheap plastic chairs around very small tables. It was nice out and the river was in back, BUT, we were there for the Diner car! We wern't even asked if we wanted to wait when we walked in.Waitress was absolutely clueless! We explained the drinks "3" times, saw her write them down, and they were still wrong! Breakfast FOOD was good, but staff was lost. Then came time to pay, cash only?? A huge tourist area and they only take cash? Thankfully someone in our party had extra cash so we could pay him back. And not cheap either! Taking full advantage of tourist season. Place was clean and nostalgic. Just wish we were seated in what attracted us to the place.

My husband & I ate breakfast here for the past 2 mornings (staying close by at the Days Inn) Other breakfast places were closed Tuesday & Wednesday- Sunny Day was opened 7 days, 7 am. Old time subway car dinner, sweet. This one even has a small outdoor patio off the side. The waitress was great: personable, sweet, efficient. My husband had the banana bread French toast topped with maple butter (sinful), perfectly manageable size (not unnecessarily huge). I had the eggs Benedict- amazing, came with hash browns - perfect (crisp & fresh). Bill in the low $20's? 2 entrees + coffee.

What I loved about the place is that they offer the opportunity to order smaller portions of desired. Example: half an egg Benedict (one egg & muffin), half a waffle, a single pancake leaving you the option to mix & match, add eggs, meat, etc.

Also a great selection of breads which included a raisin toast (nice change).
Pork sausage patty was also delicious. Turkey links (not so much- little rubbery).

Would definitely return next time in town.

This breakfast was more like a 3.5. The menu is not huge but does have a few out of the ordinary items. I would not call anything we ordered outstanding, but everything was better than average. The prices are about in line or a little above other area breakfast restaurants. They do not accepts plastic, so bring cash.
