We, Mary & Art, reserved a booth for 4 early this year. We go every New Year. Arrived at 8:15,it was packed already with diners all laughing, gabbing and "making merry".
The band, "Last Kid Picked" had not started yet. We studied the menu and waited for Carol and Donley. We sipped on our usual beer and wine duo then ordered when our friends came. When my (Mary's) seafood combo came I was so glad I ordered this special. It was excellent. $18.99, worth it. Mussels, large shrimp and scallops mixed in chopped tomatoes, basically. Art and Donley had the fried seafood special, $19.99. also great. Carol had the tacos. A little dish, you'd say? No, she got the veggies added. Huge, it took 2 take-home boxes for left-overs.
The menu has most, (all?) items cheaper than the specials. There is a bar area with multiple TV screens. Donley and Art stand and glance at a game score occasionally. We usually come here on the banquet hall side for organization meetings. They do a great job at that. Their deck always looks inviting on summer evenings but is packed so we drive past it. Other features are a golf course opened to the public and an impromptu snow sledding area next to the building which is great. We have used it and popped in the restaurant afterwards. The land is owned by the city of Manchester. We'll have to try it again some other day with no celebration going on.
