We, Mary & Art, reserved a booth for 4 early this year. We go every New Year. Arrived at 8:15,it was packed already with diners all laughing, gabbing and "making merry".
The band, "Last Kid Picked" had not started yet. We studied the menu and waited for Carol and Donley. We sipped on our usual beer and wine duo then ordered when our friends came. When my (Mary's) seafood combo came I was so glad I ordered this special. It was excellent. $18.99, worth it. Mussels, large shrimp and scallops mixed in chopped tomatoes, basically. Art and Donley had the fried seafood special, $19.99. also great. Carol had the tacos. A little dish, you'd say? No, she got the veggies added. Huge, it took 2 take-home boxes for left-overs.
The menu has most, (all?) items cheaper than the specials. There is a bar area with multiple TV screens. Donley and Art stand and glance at a game score occasionally. We usually come here on the banquet hall side for organization meetings. They do a great job at that. Their deck always looks inviting on summer evenings but is packed so we drive past it. Other features are a golf course opened to the public and an impromptu snow sledding area next to the building which is great. We have used it and popped in the restaurant afterwards. The land is owned by the city of Manchester. We'll have to try it again some other day with no celebration going on.

Been here before. This time slow unatentive service. Once we we're finally able to order the drinks came out. Food took a long time and was dried out on top like it had been under a heat lamp a long time. The food not very good looking, no lettuce under the calamari any more looks sad.At that point what to do. No manager around or checking on the tables. We were on the deck on Monday.

The Bolognese sauce had some type of meat that didn't taste right and bland no flavor...taste like watered down tomato sauce. I asked for extra cheese in nachos and it had 1 thin layer of it in middle. The Caesar salad was very dry...had to order extra dressing.

I have had both breakfast and lunch here. The food is average to good but the onion rings are the best I have ever had and the price is so reasonable. I could go just for a beer and rings. Waitstaff is attentive and sitting on the porch watching the golfers on a nice day makes it worth the stop.

Always good food at the Derryfield! Watched Chad LaMarsh play outside on the deck with some friends. Great atmosphere too.
