I googled The Dog House to find the TripAdvisor page, and in the results were reviews from another type of review website similar to TA (starts with a "Y"), so out of curiosity I read a few of those, and started laughing because several reviews were exactly like our experience at The Dog House. We had passed this place on our way to Manchester a few days earlier, and it looked interesting, so on our way back home at the end of the weekend, we decided to stop. We always like to try this types of roadside food stands. We did not have a good experience. The prices on the board seem pretty reasonable, but if you had any questions at all, the lady was very snappy in her response, like we were inconveniencing her by being there to order food. We ordered three hot dogs, one each. One was plain with ketchup and the other two had some toppings like hot pepper relish, sauerkraut etc. When she told us the total was $18.50 I was stunned. They must charge about $1.00 a topping for it to come to that amount. We didn't order drinks, and our son had one little mini-bag of chips. That's it. It would be nice for them to show upfront that there's a charge - and exactly how much - for each topping. We literally ate about $3 worth of food but it cost us almost $20.
