...because it is easy to. We drove around for a bit before finding the correct turn off Quincy Road. Turn into Quincy Bog Road, and while it may look like you are driving through a residential area, you'll eventually see signage for Quincy Bog Natural Area.
What a beautiful place! We got there in time to catch the sunset over the bog. It takes about an hour to get around the bog, but we took our time snapping photos, navigating the footpath (sometimes guessing which wood plank would stay and which would sink), and enjoying the beauty and peace of nature. We saw a blue heron and the beaver dam. Definitely worth a visit while you're in the Plymouth area.
The trail entrance sign states that only foot traffic is allowed. Wear sturdy shoes you don't mind getting wet/muddy. Some of the footbridges may sink low into the water and some may be slippery. There are wooden benches around the bog where one can sit and enjoy the peacefulness of the bog.
