“Lovely place to visit”

Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve
Reviewed June 13, 2017 via mobile

This is called the Great Bay Discovery Center on Google maps. There's a short boardwalk and a trail that goes into a marsh area.

Our visit included seeing a large amount of horseshoe crabs mating along the shore. Definitely worth another visit.

The Great Bay Estuarine Center is a monument to the wonders of the Great Bay and east coast salt marshes in general. Though small and unpretentious it offers charming insights into Native American and colonial life along the Great Bay, boardwalk tours, and welcoming docents. Jennifer was a special delight in her explanations of place and history.

A great place to learn about Great Bay and the marshes, the walking trails are well marked with information and the displays in the Center are very kid friendly.

We had a perfect day at the Discovery Center. The friendly staff take time to answer questions. The new walkway is impressive. Dress warmly. The breeze off the bay can be quite chilly at times!
