Fantastic food and service! The dining room was full of windows with a view...the fireplace and music added to the ambiance. Have a cocktail in the Tavern before dinner and learn all about the history of this beautiful B& B!

My wife's and my dinner at the Sugar Hill Inn was spectacular. We came early and had a glass of champagne served by Steve (the innkeeper) at the cozy bar before heading to the dining room for dinner. The dining room is beautiful -- large, candlelit tables and comfortable over-sized chairs, along with a crackling fire and 270 degree views. We appreciated the wine selection, which featured a couple of notable good values from South America and Europe. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and prompt yet unobtrusive. The food was top-notch -- the quality of ingredients, the flavors, the presentation and the chef's creativity were on par with some of Boston's best restaurants. Highlights for us included the trio of soups, the scallops, the duo of lamb & venison, and the cheese course (which came with a glass of port). We'll be back again soon.

Thank you for the Michelin Star. Our chef takes his craft very seriously and you made his day. It is our goal to provide a dining experience that is not available anywhere else in the White Mountains.

We spent a wonderful evening last night by the cozy and warm fireplace at the Sugar Hill Inn's restaurant. The setting was beyond lovely, the service unobstrusive and the food was just delicious. Each of the four courses was expertly prepared with fresh ingredients (remember, this is in the middle of winter in a mountain location) and each course was excellent: the trio of soups, the perfectly sautéed sea scallops, the small and flavorful lamp chops. And, unlike at many other restaurants, the portions were just right: not too much, not too little. This is indeed a special place.

The dining room at Sugar Hill is open to the public so if you aren't staying with them you can still eat there, which I highly recommend. The menu is very diverse and offers many main entrees. Chef Val prepares and presents his masterpieces to make them look like a piece of art. He is innovative and his food is delicious. I have not eaten a meal like this in I don't know how long....it was phenominal. The beef tenderloin I had was to die for. I didn't even need a knife to cut it because it just melted perfectly away. I loved his trio of soups. Everything was so good that I can't pick my favorite part, but I will say to end on the desserts we had, chocolate espresso cake with raspberry sorbet and hot apple cider with beignets was beyond fantastic! Again, if you're looking for a high end dinner with high end tastes, then this is your spot. It's magnificent! (& the dining room is beautiful, too!) Service, fantastic!
