This wonderful restaurant with its healthy and delectable food was quite
a pleasant surprise in the White Mountains. We also had a pleasant waitress,
Lynn who was accommodating and made our meal thoroughly delightful. I strongly
Recommend this restaurant the next time you visit Waterville Valley, NH.

This would have been an "excellent" rating if the service was better. We were there on a Tuesday night - a few tables and a few people at the bar.

Our greeting was prompt and friendly and we were seated immediately with menus and a quick overview of the specials for the evening. Once we decided on our meals and ordered it took 40 minutes for our salads to come out (a basic garden salad and Ceasar side salad). We didn't see much of our waitress during this time. Our dinners arrived about 20-25 minutes later (we noticed a couple people at the bar ordered long after we were there and received their meals before us so not sure what happened with ours taking so long).

Food - outstanding! My husband had the Elk special and it was amazing! I had the seafood risotto - perfectly cooked and delicious. My daughter had the mussels, also perfectly cooked with a delicious white wine garlic broth. She did have to ask for bread (loved that they had gluten free bread) to sop up her broth (and we had to ask the bartender for it because our waitress was not attentive). The bartender, not our waitress, brought us our check without even asking if we wanted dessert or after dinner drinks. It was my birthday and this was disappointing. Since it had gotten late due to the long time we waited for our dinners, we were tired and pleasantly full so we didn't bother to ask him to bring us dessert menus.

I'd definitely go back as the menu options and food won't disappoint. I hope the service we received was just a fluke/off night for our waitress.

We go to Coyote grill every time we are at Black Bear Lodge (2-3 times a year) Food is always great here. Even if you come in the low season, you'd be surprised of the menu choices. This restaurant never disappoints!!

One of our favorite spots for sure. This time we dined on a family trip. Fabulous as always. We had a young server, Elisabeth and she was exceptionally nice to our three children. Scallops, tuna, seafood risotto were all amazing. The spring rolls were great too. We can't wait for our next visit. Cheers! See you all soon.
