It's unbelievable that there is no charge for an adventure like this one---and that's thanks to the residents of Cape May County who through their taxes support this magnificent park/zoo facility. It is a day well-spent with friends or family members of all ages. On elevated walkways, you can look down upon a re-created natural habitat that a large variety of exotic animals make their homes. The County Rec. department sees to it that all animals and reptiles are well cared for and live in a safe and friendly environment. Our daughter is now 30 years old, but we still try to find the time to visit. In the summer, the best days to visit and avoid huge crowds would be on sunny days when most people are taking to the beaches. Also, in the cooler months the animals are more animated than during the heat of summer. This truly is one of the gems of Cape May County.

What a nice zoo! The entrance was free as was the parking. It was very clean and well run. The animals looked very healthy and well cared for.

This must be the best free zoo in the country. We thought this would be a relatively small local zoo but felt this was in the league of some of the best zoos we have been to... and it is free, amazing!
