We've just returned from 5 nights in The Holland Hotel and can't rate it highly enough. The hotel and rooms are spotless from top to bottom, and if anything wasn't up to scratch my wife would've found it, trust me. Our two sons of 20 and 24 were with us and they were initially concerned at being outside Manhattan but the PATH station is literally a 10 minute walk at most.
The bedrooms were a good size, you don't get that in Manhattan, and the breakfast was fantastic, croissants, bread rolls, pastries, cakes, cereal, orange juice, tea, coffee, yoghurt and fruit. All as much as you can carry. Again, my wife didn't think she'd like the fact that there's no dining room, only an outside area but it was too cold, but the fact that we could all sit in one room in our pyjamas and relax over breakfast while planning the day ahead was a real bonus. It'll be the few relaxing moments you'll get on holiday in NYC.
The staff are helpful and friendly, special mention to Andrea on reception for squeezing our luggage into an already bursting storage room on our checkout day.
Overall, this hotel ticked every box before we arrived but after actually staying there I can't believe it's only rated as 2 star. We'd all return in a New York minute without a doubt. Well done Holland Hotel and all her staff.More
