Right now, the food here is better than ever. Seafood salad and scungili fradiabolo are classics and wonderful. A whole Bronzino is a delight. The pastas are always tasty. One of jersey city's very god Italian restaurants.

“Good atmosphere, pretty good food”
Reviewed 8 December 2011

We had Spaghetti Vongole which was reasonably good. We also hat Filet Mignon a al Pizaiolo, which was good but not the Filet Mignon Style you typically you would expect. It tasted good, but I would not consider it as a real Filet Mignon. The waiter from Equador was very attentive and supportive. It's slightly more expensive than the Fire&Oaks in Jersey City

If you love REAL Italian food this is the place. Great service , great food and its the real thing.

Lunch is as good as dinner and you can walk next to Montelone's bakery and bring home true Italian bakery items, their Italian rum cake is outstanding

if you go to Jersey City you have to go there

“Classic Italian with superb food, excellent wine list, and top-notch service.”
Reviewed 12 September 2011

This is one of the best--if not THE best--Italian restaurant in Jersey City. We started with a caprese salad which was perfect: the tomatoes were ripe, the mozzarella was fresh, and the basil was fragrant. A nice touch was the balsamic and olive oil brought to the table so we could add more as we desired. I had the rigatoni pomodoro which was delicious. My wife had the Halibut special and she loved the combination of pan seared halibut on the sauteed spinach and mushrooms! A great bottle of wine finished the meal. You can't go wrong here!

“Very Good Food - Nice Atmosphere”
Reviewed 5 September 2011

Casa Dante is a very nice restaurant. I've been here several times. The food is excellent and the service is good. Because of the location, their valet parking is sooo convenient.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very inviting. Love the big old bar area! On the weekend's they offer live music and dancing (not something I look for in an evening dinner but there were many people who got up to dance).

The food is consistently good. I love the caesar salad and the rigatoni vodka is great. They offer a very nice wine list - many nice wines to choose from.

All in all, very nice dinner experience and will return again and again.

Note - be careful if you request an extra plate - I did this once and the waiter charged us an extra fee for splitting an appetizer - even though there was only the two of us and we ordered two appetizers.
