Although I only did a take-out, the place is very cute, but a bit off the beaten path. It's worth the short trip off the main strip in Long Branch.
Being the only Jamaican restaurant around, it's refreshing to get some great Jamaican food locally. I've been to Jamaica several times, and always enjoyed the local fare.
Norah (I presume that's her name - the owner) is a wonderful, friendly lady.
Portions were large, and at a reasonable price.
We got some Jerk Chicken and Curry Goat. Both were great - particularly the goat, which was nicely spicy and very tender. My teenage son (who hates everything, of course) just LOVED it , and barely let me have any. :)
We'll definitely be back!

Definitely try the homemade ginger beer! The oxtail beef and jerk chicken was absolutely great. Norah was super inviting and friendly. She really makes the place.

I found this restaurant to be overpriced and the food was OK. There's a Jamaican restaurant in Asbury park I frequent where a small oxtail is $11.35 and in Longbranch the small ox tail is $15. Just an example. Everything here is way more money and lacking flavor.

recently renovated giving it an island feel, this family owned cozy place offers fresh fish, meat and more exotic [i.e. Goat] dinners.
It's BYO, so bring your wine and beer to wash down the mildly spiced dishes and plentiful side dishes. Be adventurous and try a dish you never had before. Norah greets you warmly and strives to present your food exactly how you like it

Wow! What a great surprise to find authentic Jamaican food right here in Long Branch. We have eaten here several times, and the food has been delicious each and every time. The goat roti and curried goat are perfect, tender and seasoned just right. The roti (the pancake) is cooked just the way it should. Goat head soup (don't let the name scare you) is warm and tasty and perfect for a cool evening. The Jamaican beef patties are seasoned just right and filled to the brim with tasty meat. Everything here tastes fresh and cooked with love. The owners are friendly and go out of their way to explain all the food to you. Don't think the food will be too spicy, it is warming and delicious, and your taste buds will thank you.
