We had lunch at this small Thai/Lao place close to an Asian grocery specializing in Thai foodstuffs, and our meal was quite good. They only had lunch specials, though, and we were a bit disappointed that we couldn't try the dishes recommended in several newspaper reviews, especially the lao crepes. I had the Thai-Lao rice noodle soup and loved it. The broth was very light but flavorful and unique, something I'd never tried before in a "regular" Thai resto. The hubby had the red curry, which was like your usual red curry but made more vibrant with chopped lime leaf. So good. The hubby and I also shared a pad thai, which was still ok but a bit of a letdown compared to the other two dishes.
Word of warning: the server will ask you for the spice level, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest. 1 doesn't mean mild--it means Tabasco hot! We got a 2, which was already plenty spicy.
