“Really nice place for its value!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 June 2011

I came from NYC over night for a photo-shoot. The staff was very friendly, and helpful. The room was nicely cleaned; it had a king size bed for non-smokers, flat screen tv with free hbo and many other channels. AC worked great. The room also had a smal fridge, and a micro wave- desk, alarm clock, phone... Overall a great place, and i only paid 55 bucks plus tax, which came out to about 63! Ah! And the hotel is only 8-12 miles away from philly!

Room Tip: Always pick rooms that are away from major roads.

I certainly can't speak for all the rooms in the motel -- I saw there were one or two recent less-than-stellar reviews -- but our room on the second floor was sparkling clean and had apparently been refurbished. (The carpet and drapes were brand new.) About the only negative things I can say (and they are only mildly negative at that) is that the outside of the motel is nothing to look at, the view from the window was a house with boarded-up windows, and the sink stopper in the room didn't work. The motel itself isn't within walking distance of much of anything touristy -- welcome to Mt. Laurel -- but for lodgers traveling without a car, the Greyhound bus station is about 3/8 of a mile away on the same road (Fellowship Road), and an Avis rent-a-car facility is about 5/8 of a mile away at the Wyndham Hotel on Route 73. A Bob Evans restaurant is conveniently located about 200 yards from the motel. We took the bus from New York to the Mt. Laurel station, and I hoofed it from the bus station to the rent-a-car place, about a 10-minute walk. (If you intend to do the same thing, please note that you have to cross at exit and entrance ramps to the N.J. Turnpike. Visibility is good, and traffic lights on Route 73 control cars entering the Turnpike, but be careful!) We got a budget rate for a room with two queen size beds. When we checked in, the desk clerk, Ken, said, "You will be happy with this room, and you will want to stay again." He was correct about that; the room was much nicer than we expected for the price. The motel met my criteria: it was economical, clean and safe, and it was within walking distance of a restaurant and travel options (i.e., bus and rent-a-car). I would stay again!

Stayed here the days before/after a day at the Camden Aquarium. Very easy access to the Philadelphia area attractions. For the price ($149.48 total for two nights) it is a great deal. Rooms were nice, staff was helpful, sleep quality was good. My only complaint is that I did not feel the room was vacuumed properly, or at all, at any time during our stay. That would have put this place over the top. Still a good place to stay at a great rate. Would stay here again in an instant.

The hotel has recently been refurbished and is very clean..the staff at desk were very polite with guests...there also is free internet... free leaflets of the surrounding area and plenty of books on historic visits nearby...each guest gets a daily newspaper..you can buy food to put in your own fridge and cook it in the microwave that each room has...the king size bed that i was on could sleep 3......pity i was alone...there was wide screen hd 35 inches tv in the room with cable...i could have stayed here indefinately...Just 1 little thing spoiled it all as sometimes happens..they advertised fresh fruit ( apples and oranges etc) ther were none..but other than that i was completely satisfied..thank you krunel and hatiche

Don't be fooled by the NJ address, Mt. Laurel is a suburb of Philly. Sticker shock on Philly hotels drove us into the burbs and the Econo Lodge fit the bill. They happily accepted our Choice Hotel Points (6,000 per night which is the lowest possible). Not all hotels on our trip were happy to let us use our points I must say.

It was clean, comfortable and safe and it was about 15-20 minutes from downtown philly. Room was on the small side and the breakfast was not sufficient for kids, but it was cheap and a decent night's sleep.

Super clean, great rate, and helpful staff. We will stay there again. We selected this establishment on the basis of the rate, the fact that the rooms had refrigerators and microwaves, and online reviews stating that the rooms were clean. We recently spent four nights there and can confirm the cleanliness. The linens and towels were freshly laundered and the Bathroom was spotless. In fact it appeared to be newly remodeled.
After checking out, I found that my car battery had died. I asked the office clerk if he had the phone number of a nearby auto service station. Instead, he made a phone call and a gentleman appeared whom I took to be the manager or owner. He took a portable jump start device from his car and we had my car started in no time. He refused payment for the service.
