I want to start out by saying since June 1st I’ve stayed at over 10 local hotels because I am in between places and every week I went to a different place to get the best rates. So I think I can say I’ve had some recent experience with the hotels in the area with covid going on. I’ve only stayed at high end hotels (mostly with kitchenettes) such as Marriott’s, Hilton’s and hyatt. Worst hotel I stayed at was extended stay america in Whippany. Best hotel.. hence why I am posting here.. was Sonesta suites. They were the only hotel that really stepped up with cleaning due to covid. Not only was it very clean but the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. Hilton Homewood kitchen is barely stocked and because of no big bowls,strainers, measuring cups... I ended up having to stop cooking and throwing out what I started... their excuse was “sorry we don’t have the budget to replace those things when they break or people take them” HILTON is a multimillion dollar business and you can’t afford measuring cups?? They sell them at the dollar store! My point is when I went to cook everything was there that I needed and if I needed anything extra it was sent right up to my room. My only complaint is the deposit.. it’s a bit high.. $250 and I checked out over 2 weeks ago and still haven’t gotten it back. The hotel said it was released and told me to call my bank and when I call my bank they are telling me they need to release it. I’m really tight with money and could really use it so hopefully they refund me soon. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel if your staying in the area. If I ever need another local hotel I will return... well as long as I eventually get my deposit back!More
