We had dinner at Tabboule in Ridgewood and the best way to describe the experience was just 'ok'. We ordered hummus, shepherd's salad, beef & chicken shawarma, and drinks. The hummus was all right, but nothing special. The beef shawarma was very good, but the chicken wasn't good at all. The rice was oily and not that good either. The waitress forgot to bring our salad and we decided to forget about it. Overall, the decor is nice and romantic, yet the tables are too close together and the kitchen is right there ruining the atmosphere. This isn't a bad restaurant, yet the prices are way too high for the quality.

Went on a Tuesday night. It was empty. Service was okay. But I expected the food to be a lot better for the price I was paying. It wasnt. Asked to warm my pita bread (which looked like the kind you can buy in a packet) and I heard them microwaving it. Look into Paterson, NJ for better food at a much better price.

Recently dined at Tabboule for the first time. It was actually my first time having Lebanese cuisine. The food was very good, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. Nice quiet place to eat off the busy beaten path.

Good home Lebanese cooking. Always reliable as to what to expect. Tabboule is excellent; lemony and not a lot of bulghur. Kefta kebabobs always flavorful and not dry. Babaghnoush is delicious. you actually taste the eggplant and most times you will get a smoky flavor to the dish. Bread is just the right thickness and comes from Canada! Maybe a bit pricey, but you alwayss get what you pay for.

The hummus and baba ganoush was very good but the chicken kebab and chicken shawarma for dinner were bland, hard and very dry. We probably wont go back again.
