Description: Old world charm meets new world hospitality in this lovely lakeside landmark. A longtime locals favorite serving award winning classic continental cuisine with a modern flair. The restaurant, resurrected from an uncertain future in 1997 by the combined efforts of the Coppola & Bushar families, has since reclaimed its spot among the favorite dining locations in the Atlantic City area.

Have been here before and it is a hidden historic spot. Located above Atlantic City on Rt. 9, this has a lot of history to offer. Today I had their chicken pot pie, and it was big and delicious! Plenty of chicken and vegetables in a thick, but not to thick gravy with a crispy crust! Just like grandmother used to cook!
The waiter was pleasant, informative and professional, I believe his name was Mike.
A great time a delicious dinner.

The staff, the atmosphere, the food...everything. A beautiful, historic venue for a dinner or large function nestled in the pine barrens of South Jersey. A must see!

The Sunday brunch at Smithville Inn has a very varied and comprehensive brunch offering. From the cold salads, sushi, and fresh bread service to all the fresh hot selections, the food was plentiful and well prepared. There were freshly made waffles with warm syrup, made to order omelettes and other hot breakfast offerings. The lunch entrees included salmon with champagne cream sauce, London broil and chicken francaise. There was also a mashed potato bar to round out all the selections. The desserts were delicious and also very varied The only negative was the service which was spotty and difficult to get to refill coffee and other beverages. It was not a very busy day and we felt it could have been more attentive. Plus they automatically added a 20% tip for buffet service - which would not have been a problem if we had had good service. However, the food and hope for a better team in the future would keep us going back.

I was in town, and took my family here for a casual lunch this past weekend. Our group of 6 had reservations when they first open at 11:30am. The menu had a great selection of soups, salads, and sandwiches. I ordered one of the specials of the day: lobster sliders with a side of sweet potato fries, as well as a cup of their corn chowder. The table shared fried calamari. The portion size of the fried calamari was great for sharing, and it's one of the best fried calamari that I've had in a very long time! Seasoned perfectly, and came with two different aiolis for dipping.

The corn chowder and the lobster sliders were also very good!

Service was a bit slow, which was surprising considering we were the second table to be seated at the restaurant. Starting around noon, more tables came in. This place gets busy!

They were also very accommodating with our stroller, and getting us a high-chair.

Great restaurant for tourists, locals, and to celebrate any type of occasion! I'd come again.

Went with another couple. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. The steaks were cooked perfectly. My grouper was delicious and the pot pie was huge and delicious. First time we have been there would go back again.
