This is a fun little place for the history buff. For the most part it is a self guided replica of fishing village from the turn of the 19th century. With a dozen or so buildings to go and experience. Some of the buildings will have a curator to explain the building. Great for a half day. Great restuarant on site for breakfast or lunch.

A growing attraction with a specialty in the shore environment, fishing past and present, wood carving, and boat making. Many authentic events, including decoy demos, boat tours, and bluegrass music (search Pickin' on the Porch, which meets the first Sunday of every month and is only $5 for five hours of jammin'). Decent restaurant on site, Stewarts next door in the warmer months. Three miles off Exit 58 of the Garden State Parkway.

When Romeo left LBI there was an empty spot on the island. His new restaurant is a little bit of a ride from the island, but the food is still excellent. Don't miss it if you're near the Seaport.

Seems this was the bright idea of a local man a few years back. While the area has a nautical theme, it is just a collection of reconstructed fake buildings!! I was amazed we were charged to walk thru old fishing shacks. It sits at the end of a little creek and on Route 9. Not exactly quaint! Also seems to be infested with Mosquitos and horrible biting flies that breed on nearby grass marshes. I would call it a swamp!! Our family stopped in and paid admission to walk thru only to be eaten up by the insects and sent us running back to the car. Skip the local yahoo museum and keep on riding to Cape May!!

Picturesque. Small shops, quick food as I recall.
