We stayed here with friends over a four day weekend in October. We had booked two two-room suites and the rooms were perfect for us.
My wife and I traveled with our twins, so the extra room was great.
Our room did have some dampness on the carpet, which occurred due to the rain coming in from ac unit. Staff was accommodating and vacuumed up the water to help with drying.
We really weren't in the rooms too much, so it wasn't a major issue.
Small breakfast was perfect for a bite before hitting the boardwalk or heading down to the Cape.
Hotel is literally 100 yards from the Wildwoods sign, which is great because we wanted pictures at the sign, and it wasn't in the middle of the hustle and bustle of where all the rides/games are.

I'd definitely look into the Starlux again if we head back to Wildwood.

In all my travels around the United States I have never come upon such a host as Gordon at the starlux hotel. first-class accommodations, clean rooms and very nice. They also have a nice putt putt golf course and I'm inclined now to take a vacation because of hello this staff made me feel at home. 5 Stars Plus

This hotel was such a great find! I was looking for a place to stay for just one night in October, with my father, and I found a 2-bedroom suite at the StarLux that was perfect. The room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. When I travel, I generally stay at Hilton properties because of their level of cleanliness and the comfort of their beds, but Wildwood is predominately non-chain, privately-owned lodging, which in my experience is hit and miss. The StarLux was a definite HIT! The entire property was clean and very well maintained. They have maintained and/or done sympathetic renovations in the mid-century modern style that was the hey-day of this shore town. I've done a lot of renovations myself, and the quality of the work here is excellent! Fun, over the top in just the right way, giving the hotel such a great vibe. The desk personnel were very informative, and I thought the rate was very reasonable for the room we had. If/when I get back to Wildwood, the StarLux will be my first call.

We enjoyed our stay at the Starlux. The room was extremely small but very clean. We were not in the room much so it did not bother us that it was small. I would imagine it would be cramped with 4 in one room.

They offer a small breakfast in the morning and free wifi. I was only able to connect to the wifi in the early morning but I was not able to connect later in the day. Our room was towards the end so the router may not have been strong enough. When were checking out, the employee asked how our stay was and I told her that the wifi was my only complaint. She said they sometimes have issues with the wifi with people connecting all of their gadgets and leaving them connected all day.

The pool was nice and they have chairs, umbrellas, etc that you can borrow for the beach. They are located right on the main street where the Wildwoods sign is located. Easy walk to the beach and boardwalk.

We always love staying at the StarLux for the Wildwood 50's Weekend. it's a lovely retro Doo-Wop hotel within walking distance of Foxwood Park, the Boardwalk, and the Convention Center. We've seen the rooms and as wonderful as they look, we love staying in the Airstream. Much to our surprise this year was the addition of a mini golf course and a Kohr's Custard. We didn't golf due to time constraints but it looked like a cute little course. We did stop at the Kohr's Custard a few times as we walked to the 50's events and it was wonderful as usual. In all, and at least in our opinion, when it comes to staying in Wildwood and you want the kitchy-50's feel, the Starlux cannot be beat.
