Possibly the most beautiful place we have ever been in the world. The hotel sits on the side of a hill looking out over a bowl surrounded by 3000 ft (ish) mountains about 15 or 20 miles away. The view is spellbinding. The grounds were immaculate. The Pinotage suite was huge and wonderful. Everything you need. Possibly the biggest shower ever, really comfortable bed. The staff were really helpful and enthusiastic. MIKO’s for dinner was really good, well prepared food with beautiful presentation. Breakfast was good, possibly missing some strawberries and blueberries on the buffet, no doubt available if asked. The gym was small but fine for the 2 of us as usual. Spa was also small, but Bronwyn (not Welsh) had a firm grip on it. Great treatments. The pool wasn’t warm enough for me even on a 25 degree day and the filtration system struggled to keep up with the blowing leaves. Boy, it was windy up there but it was warm and fresh at the same time. We will have to go back.
Need to go back to all of theses places and spend more time seeing other stuff and eating. The choice of great restaurants seems to be endless.More
