“A little sanctuary nestled amongst the hustle and bustle of Seminyak”

When we opened the big wooden doors of our Villa Dayak, what was revealed completely blew our minds. The villa was huge, a lot bigger than we expected, and so leafy and green. We weren't as close to Seminyak square and the main shopping districts as we thought we would have been, but with taxis being so cheap it wasn't that much of a problem. Despite a slow start with the wifi access and the iPod speakers not working - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The bedrooms, bathrooms, dining and lounge area and of course the huge amazing pool were all perfect for what we needed. Thanks for having us!

Villa Dayak-Asmat, a beautiful well-kept place, nestled between 2 temples. Very quiet, despite that the busy street with shops and restaurants is just around the corner.
The accommodation is excellent, tasteful decorated, well equipped and on top of this all it is very clean.
The staff is well trained, they are very good, helpful and kind: especially Yuni is a 'pearl', she knows all the food stalls and nearly 24/7 available. Also Wayan and Yasni who come in everyday to take care of the bedrooms and the rest of the villa, are very friendly.
We really enjoyed our one month stay in October and for sure we will recommend villa Dayak and villa Dayak-Asmat to our friends. Hopefully we will be back in the near future.

“Pure Heaven”
Reviewed October 12, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We had an amazing stay at Villa Dayak. Every part of the villa was perfect. The staff where lovely and the villa was cleaned from head to toe each day. Anything we asked for the staff where kind enough to organize. I really enjoyed my time at Villa Dayak. Thank-you to Richard and his lovely staff for such an enjoyable stay.

“Exceeded our expectations!”
Reviewed October 5, 2014 for a stay in September 2014

Arriving at the villa we were greeted by Yuni, who gave us the rundown of where things were, how they worked etc as well as a mobile that we could call her on for anything we might need.
We also met with the owners the following day who made sure we were happy and settled.

As soon as I walked in I was so impressed, I have in the past had the experience where the photos look nothing like the real thing....NOT here. The villa is AMAZING, beautiful decor, great pool, bathrooms immaculate, the villa was cleaned everyday.

Rooms have air con, there is also a ceiling fan in the open plan living, filtered water in the kitchen, great sized fridge, tea infuser/coffee plunger. Huge built in robes with shelving, heaps of room for our suitcases.
Sunbeds next to the pool with big umbrellas, pool has sun for a good portion of the day but still enough shade too.Beautifully maintained gardens, friendly staff, could not fault anything.

I am so lucky to have found this gem, would definitely recommend a stay here, you won't want to leave...we didn't.

Thank you Richard, Celine, Yuni & staff for the most enjoyable stay in Bali yet!

“Perfection in Paradise”

I booked Villa Dayak online several months before our trip. I spent a lot of time searching for a perfect place to stay. The communication from the start with the owner was good and I was keen to see if the place was as good as the pictures available.
A short time before we left for Bali, I was contacted by Richard (the owner) requesting that we move to the adjacent villa - Dayak Asmat. I had no concerns with this request and was happy to agree as the villas were identical.
We arrived in the afternoon for a 7 night stay and we were blown away. The photos do not do this place justice. It was paradise. Our driver did have initial problems finding the villa as it is tucked away on a back street but after asking a local, he found it with no problems.
The villa is even more stunning at night with lanterns in the trees, we didn't want to leave on the first evening.
The host was friendly and happy to assist us with anything we needed. In fact, she arranged scooters and a driver to Jimbarran for us without question.
I can not speak any higher of the villa. It was peaceful, close to everything, beautifully furnished and clean. The staff were always polite and checked every day if it was okay for them to clean at the time they arrived.
Villa Dayak Asmat was exactly what we hoped for. In fact, it was more. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we would love to return.

We were so lucky to find this hidden gem, these Villas are even better than the pictures, true luxury! Loved it so much we stayed for ten days then went back for more.
Before booking I had contacted Richard with a request for a pool fence and quickly received the most polite and informative reply letting me know this would be no problem as well as answering any questions I had not yet thought about asking, I was impressed and confidently crossed the other villas of my list and booked The Villa Dayak.
My mother, husband and two young children arrived on a late flight and were greeted at the airport by the smiley and quietly good looking Agus as arranged by Richard then driven to the villa were we were welcomed by the amazing Yuni for our first ten day stay.
The Villas are located in the perfect location at the end of a quiet gang behind a private Hindu temple just the right distance from the Main Street. An easy walk to food shopping and the bintang supermarket, but away from the hustle and bustle.
The villa and it rooms are spacious, luxurious and spotless. The two bedrooms have large comfortable beds with high quality linen and dreamy canopies. The outdoor bathrooms a real treat for the whole family. The kitchen is squeaky clean and equipped with everything one needs, including a water purifier/dispenser that offers room temp, ice and boiling water. The pool is super inviting, your own private tropical haven surrounded by stunning tropical gardens. And to top it of your own staff who really could not be praised enough. So thoughtful, quiet, and obliging, Yuni the maid (an angel) Madé and Asni the house cleaners and the quiet but friendly gardener made the Villa experience all the more enjoyable.
Richard and Celine, the owners really put a whole lot of love and hard work into these beautiful Villas. The Villa Dayak and Dayak Asmat are both beautifully designed, furnished, landscaped, staffed and personally maintained. It was a true pleasure to stay in your beautiful Villas, thank you.
We will be back and only hope you have a vacancy when we do!

“Great Villa, good location”
Reviewed August 12, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We stayed here for 10 nights. As regular Bali visitors, we knew what we where looking for in a villa. Dayak Asmat, was well located, although a 100 meter walk to main Jalan for taxi. The villa is as described and looks exactly like the photo's. The housekeeping of the villa was fine, it is serviced daily, and the manager is on site. The only downside for us was the rock hard beds that my husband and I found too hard to sleep on in the end. We did find a snake in our bathroom that the manager took away for us. The owner Richard came to meet us and was totally lovely. However, we had a dispute on departure with owners wife, who threatened my husband over the telephone, which did scare me as we were traveling with our children. I was hoping to find the perfect "home away from Home" as a regular visitor. I will still be searching.

Management Response
19 Aug 2014
Dear Kathy,
Thank you for your review.
Too bad you omitted to mention, that you should have paid at arrival 100 USD for the rent of the foldaway bed we specially purchased for you. At the end of your stay you still did not pay what you owed. When my wife called just before your check-out your husband mentioned to make a transfer from Australia. We of course refused, because this is like “I will never pay”. The deal has been: cash at arrival. The mattress quality has been recommended to us by orthopedic specialist. We have only compliments on our bedding quality. Every day our staff has taken good care about you and the villa. This was difficult in your case, because of careless and lack of cleanness from your family and your three children. It can happens, that a little non-venomous water snake gets lost in the nature of Bali. You further forget to mention, that you did not pay the last day of the bike you rented. We had to pay your dept. Your behavior is incomprehensible to us and not honest.
