This was my first stay after a fast-track to their platinum elite program and I have to say I was disappointed. The stay itself was average, no problems, but also nothing to impress.
The check-in staff wasn’t recognize me as a member at all, up until I request the late checkout where she started to look into the system to recheck which tier I’m in, which is a proof that she doesn’t aware of it beforehand.
The service at the pool bar was Thai-average. However the staff could be more proactive in taking orders and inform guests about promotions. The sunset view from the pool was great.
I booked the studio suite room and a bit disappointed that toothbrushes wasn’t offered automatically on premium rooms. Also there’re some shrimp crackers crumps on the bed end table upon my arrival, which is unacceptable in this level of hotel, especially for premium rooms.
I think from business perspective, the hotel chain should offer their elite fast track so new guests can experience how will they be treated as a loyal customers, so they will be impressed and more inclined to stick with the brand in the future. Unfortunately, this stay was unsuccessful to convince me to stick with Centara.
