Lovely. Our new base in Korat!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Nov 22, 2019
We stayed at the Romyen for one night then two nights with family in April 2019. Our choice of rooms was 2 x superior king. We did have a favourite hotel already in Korat but lately it has become expensive so we decided to give other places a try.

The Romyen is in an excellent central location for the city just 400m down a side road from a stretch of the ancient moat. It is within 200m of a 7-11 store and a small night food market. Also, leave the hotel, turn left and next left down Buarong road and just on the right is a fantastic noodle place!

I was pleasantly surprised by the rooms at the Romyen considering the price. They are actually small, clean and modern studios with a kitchenette. The bed, tv and shower (the essentials!) are all good and I really felt at home. There were even nice little touches like an arm chair and bathrobes!

Facilities at the Romyen include a gym (that I didn't have time to explore) and a great little pool at the front of the place. Behind the pool is seating, a bar and the restaurant/breakfast room. There's actually a great poolside atmosphere here and we ended up spending quite a lot of time sat here. swimming, socialising, eating and drinking. There is also a massage shop next to the restaurant which we used and really enjoyed. We didn't try breakfast at the Romyen but had poolside food and all ate inside the restaurant one day when it started raining. Everything we ate was delicious!

The Romyen is a centrally located clean and modern resort with exellent facilities, friendly helpful staff and is great value. We will be back in December 2019 for 2 nights. Recommended!

I stayed 3 days in this hotel. The hotel is in good location for many Japanese restaurant.
7-11 is about 50m walking distance but it is quite a small one.
There is massage center opposite the swimming pool and a small cafe for guest to hang out at night.
One thing that I want to praise is the receptionist was so polite and they speak well English. Besides, you can get free packet of cloth washing liquid from the receptionist and you can use the 1st floor washing machine and dryer machine ( self service type) to wash your cloth for only 70 bath. Cheap and convenient. You can even iron it after dried
I had stayed in more than 5 hotels in Korat , so far, this is the only hotel that provide the auto cloth washing facilities to their guest.
Breakfast was simple but delicious with Japanese and Thai selection.
Will definite stay in this hotel again when in Korat.

Room tip: Try to choose for highers floor room to avoid noise from the swimming pool

Romyen Garden Place is very well looked after, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was a variety of choices. The pool was an inviting place to be during the hot mid-days to the evenings. Korat is more of an Industrial city, very large. There isn't much to do for tourists unless you are prepared to travel long distances. One down fall is that there are Japanese restaurants BUT they only cater for Japanese and no others. I liked the Monkey Bar, and also the River Inn which is a fair distance from the city.

Romyen Garden Place Nakhon Ratchasima
The location in pretty central for restaurants, shopping dept stores etc. We enjoyed our stay here the staff were very helpful room service good. We had the superior king size bed the room is of good size with tea making facilities. Wardrobe only had 4, hangers for clothes. In the bathroom there was a hair dryer, also has a powerful rain shower, The TV had a selection Thai and English although not many English speaking news channels.
And all rooms have free WIFI
There is a buffet breakfast with a very reasonable menu and a pleasant environment with more tables outside to enjoy your food.
There’s a small swimming pool with loungers beside the pool,
So overall the Hotel was good value for money and it’s one of the more popular Hotels in the area with similar prices.
So overall I can recommend this hotel and we would certainly come again.

Staid at Romyen Garden Place for three nights. Found staff to be very good and spoke English. Hotel is very good. I paid a little over 1200 Baht per night this included breakfast which was good, great selection western, Asian, Thai whatever you wanted. The room was really good it looked bigger in the photos. Tea and coffee provided. The room service menus looked great although we did not try any of the food but going by the quality breakfast it’s probably good. The location is good. It has a pool which we made use of great for cooling down or a bit of exercise.
If you have the budget I recommend you stay here.
