“Good Dining Option”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2013

Convenient location, excellent service, and it looked like the locals also dine here. The menu featured enough selections to satisfy most tastes. Not much of a wine list, but beer drinkers should be happy!

“Good food; good service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2013

Best pulled pork sandwich ever. I seem to recall Mulligans closed a bit early (9pm) I think. Good place for quiet talk or watching a ball game. Courteous staff.

“Mulligan's at Raton's Best Western an Intellectual Cantina in an Oasis”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 October 2013

If you're in the middle of nowhere....somewhere North of Route 66 and bound for Taos or Denver.....and you want the greatest bar and restaurant within 4 hours drive...stop at Mulligan's in the Raton, New Mexico Best Western hacienda. If you pay attention....in between courses of darned good and honest food....you will meet the most interesting people. Perhaps because you're in the middle of nowhere, everyone from corporate executives to Rock stars hang out at Mulligan's restaurant; where else are they going to go? After going through there four times in two years, I've never failed to have a fascinating conversation with some of the most accomplished and (usually) modest individuals. (Even the manager/owner looks like Tom Selleck.) Don't miss Friday's.

“GOOD FOOD & SERVICE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 October 2013

Friendly and cheerful whether it was AM or PM! This place was convenient for our stay, the conference room was here, and some at the larger Convention Center a mile or so away.
Made our stay great!!!

“Unwelcome”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2013

My friends and I stopped here for appetizers and drinks. We sat at a table in the bar and when no server came over we asked the bartender for drinks. They said we had to wait for the server...so that was annoying. Five minutes later the bartender came over to take our drink order anyways (?), and drinks came slowly after that. (We gave up on the food.) Not a good welcoming atmosphere; the place looks clean and brand new but we felt like we were intruding the minute we walked in the door. When we got the ticket it was high for a small town---more like Dallas or Albuquerque club prices. I would not go back again or recommend it.
