I booked this lodging because it looked like the best deal for the money. The reviews were mostly positive on TripAdvisor. The motel is less expensive than most of the properties in the town and we were not disappointed. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the breakfast (included) was very good and the staff projected high morale. They were happy to help or suggest restaurants and even phoned one to make a reservation for us. We needed to print out airline boarding passes and they had a computer in the lobby for just that purpose. I would recommend this place to a friend or would be happy to return any time.

Room tip: We stayed in the single floor unit. I think there were two-story units in the rear.

Loved this place. Friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms clean and great decor. Hot tub and pool were great. Breakfast was awesome. Bigger than it looks from road. Patio breakfast room out back is heated and nice. We were driving our street rod and Jerry hooked up a hose, gave us a bucket and cleaner along with towels to wash it. They couldn't have been nicer to us. We will return when in the area and refer our friends.

El Pueblo is a lovely property--great courtyard, swimming pool and hot tub. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms and great service. Good location--could walk several places for dinner and shopping. The onsite breakfast was very good--would definitely stay here again. Just a heads up though--the taxes and fees were pretty high--but of course this would be everywhere in Taos.

This well-maintained older property is full of personality. The location is convenient, the rooms are big and airy, and the courtyard and breakfast area are charming. The staff is warm and gracious, probably the best we encountered on our trip. The included breakfast is also outstanding.

Room tip: There's no elevator, so if stairs are a problem, request a first-floor room.

El Pueblo Lodge has the feel of a resort. That's because this property is on a large spread with three separate lodges situated around green areas with gazebos, grills, patio tables, a fire pit and horseshoe and bag pits.

We stayed three nights and had two rooms in different buildings. There were differences. The one room was your basic double queen room, and was very nice with southwestern blanket throws on the bed. The second room was also a double queen, but in a building that offered rooms with a fireplace, wet bar and a sliding glass door to a small green area with a table and chairs.

A full buffet breakfast is included and is served in an enclosed outdoor patio area that overlooks the grounds. The setting is lovely, the food is delicious and the service is friendly.

This hotel is close to everything in Taos, and is just a great place to spend a few days.

Room tip: Room amenities vary, based on the building you are in. While all rooms are great, some offer fireplaces and wet bars.
