Like larger Santa Fe down the road, the Taos Plaza is a town square bordered by shops, mostly catering to tourists. It's a nice plaza, but comparatively small next to Santa Fe and will command your attention for significantly less time. Traffic getting to and from, and parking are a real challenge.

Lots and lots of shops and art stores with lots of handmade articles to purchase. Some eateries and a lovely gazebo at which to rest.

Just what you would imagine - loads of gift shops a few places to eat and have drinks. Other than that - easy to miss.

This small plaza has a lot of historical significance....it has some nice shops but the area has a lot of construction taking place. Some nice shops....

Along the plaza there is not much other than tourist joints. The outfitter has a good shop. Get off the square for more interesting shops.

If you’re in Taos I would recommend visiting the plaza. There are an abundance of local shops to visit.

What a fun way to spend an afternoon - most shops don't open until about 11:00. Unique selection of shops, galleries and eateries.

Easy to spend a few hours here for sure. Lots of funky things to see and plenty of places to sit and people watch. Nothing extraordinary though.
