We enjoyed eating an early dinner here after a day of skiing at Taos. The restaurant is a part of Taos Inn and the Adobe Bar is just across the lobby. Before dinner, we sat in the lobby just outside of the Adobe Bar and enjoyed the fountain and historic ambiance. Part of the building used to be a doctor's house and office. The food was excellent and the server was knowledgeable and accomodating. For starters we shared apple walnut salad and a rattlesnake rabbit sausage that was surprisingly good. For entrees, I had trout; one of us had veal short ribs and the other had chile rellenos, the house specialty. We all enjoyed our entrees. The chile rellenos were particularly good. For dessert we shared the mexican chocolate cream brulee that was delicious. After dinner, we walked around Taos a bit. A very pleasant evening. I would recommend this place to friends.
