Was at the Tapas Restaurant around 3:30. We had asked about the dinner menu and told dinner was not available until 5:00, I see in one of the management responses here that you can order off the dinner menu. But that was the least of the problems today. First off it took the waitress about 10 minutes to come to the table, there were only a few tables occupied at the time so being busy not an excuse. We asked about what red wines were available... another few minutes wait for the wine list...not such a long list that the server should know it. We ordered a glass of wine and 2 glasses of water. Lunch menu was very limited. We ordered 2 onion soups and 2 Caesar salads, one with grilled chicken and the other with steak. The wine came and only 1 glass of water, reminded server about second water. After a rather long wait the food arrived all together, but only one soup and still no second glass of water. Told server we ordered 2 soups and reminded again about water. The soup should have been served before the salads, not all together. The chicken was cold, not just room temp cold ....it was right out of the fridge cold and the steak was exremely rare.... I should note that the server did not ask how he wanted the steak cooked. There were also no croutons or parmesan crisps on either salad. After realizing my chicken was cold I had to ask another server, because ours was no where to be found, about whether or not the chicken was supposed to be cold....she didn't know. I would think that the servers should know that....and our server should have realized that the salads were not complete. After and even longer wait we finally got the second soup and my salad....which now had the croutons and parmesan crisps...unfortunately the chicken was so dry it was inedible, they probably picked the sliced up chicken off the salad and heated it up. Complained to the server who said she would tell mgr....I don't think that she said anything to the manager. The salad and the additional protein are charged separately and she took just the chicken off the bill....even though I didn't even eat the salad. I did say something at the desk and they brought it to attention of the manager who wiped out the entire bill. Although I appreciate that we would have rather paid for an enjoyable experience. This afternoon was supposed to be a surprise Christmas outing from my boyfriend which started out incredibly romantic with a ride on the Merry-go-round. The service and terrible food experience really ruined it for both of us but especially for him because he put so much thought into making the day special for me. I read so many bad reviews here but apparently nothing seems to change.
