We stayed just one night on the way to ski Belleayre Mountain (just a few miles away). A lot of thought has obviously gone into adding special warm touches to this small motel and attention given to details that make a difference and set it apart from your average small road-side motel: There are lots of tropical colors (especially welcome in the winter); a nice basket filled with breakfast foods; colorful quilts over warm comforters on the bed; large thick towels in the bathroom; a full and well-stocked kitchen (there was even a half-gallon of milk left for us in the fridge).

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are so glad we surpassed your expectations. Looking forward to many happy returns. We are less than 3 hours from New York city. And the Catskills has a lot to offer year-round.Thanks again.

We arrived after-hours having reserved two side by side rooms.
Rooms were clean and had two beds and a kitchen w a back door leading to a small covered porch overlooking fire pit bbqs a small open area and a free standing screened in porch lit up with colored lights. Kitchen was dated but very well stocked and functional which is more important than the prior. No shortage of chairs in either room. Goody box each day with muffins, cereal and coffee w milk in the fridge was a nice treat for the younger crowd. Bed was comfortable parking is right up to your door. 10 minutes away from a restaurant where we had a nice meal there were a couple other pricier options nearby to dine as well. We were 20-25 mins away from Plattekill Mt which up there isn't that bad at all. Limited contact with owner but she was very nice and cordial to speak with. For what and where it is, we felt the motel was nice and clean with a comfortable room.

Such hospitality - so many comforting touches, from the decor, to the basket of breakfast in the fridge, the fully functioning kitchen, the common space out back, the individual thermostats for main room/kitchen/bathroom, the option to dispense with the down comforter in favor of a light blanket already on the bed (I happen to DESPISE down comforters, and most places don't get it), the sense that everything is clean - no surprises on the floor during my yoga, no funny wrinkles on the sheets, no smudges on the glassware. I was able to walk up after a day of skiing and get a room, no problem, and the owner was warm and welcoming and fully professional. Grateful to have found such a gem.

Thank you, you've made our day. Knowing that our guests feel comfortable is our top priority. I get it about the comforters and that's why we have 4 layers on there to choose from (sheet, blanket, down comforter and light decorative comforter). So glad you found us too. Our close proximity to Belleayre is a win win for us and skiers. Thanks again. See you soon!

This was our second stay at the Starlite Motel and I was happy to return for a skiing weekend at Belleayre. We previously visited in the fall for a bit of leaf peeping and we loved the location of the motel and how perfect it was for our family. Having the kitchenette with a full sized refrigerator was ideal. And they really make it feel like home away from home with the little snacks and breakfast basket replenished each day. In the fall, we also enjoyed a fire at the fire pit one night with some other guests. This visit I was pleased to find out the electric heaters work well and the room was nice and toasty. We'll definitely be back again soon!

Having guests return to experience different seasons is very motivating for us. It's hard to explain the transformation that the seasons bring: the change in air, temperatures and the different activities that spring up from each season. Each season is so unique and so beautiful in its own way. Thanks for sharing this.
