I travel for business weekly. I have spent a lot of nights in Comfort Inns. This is by far the worst one I have stayed in. I asked at the front desk for a room away from traffic, she told me there weren't any. I asked again and she magically was able to find one. The hotel is in poor condition. The carpet has been there way to long. The floor in the halls and my room hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner recently. It was a budget hotel that was converted to a Comfort Inn. Stay at the Faifield it's about .5 mile away. The overall service experience with the staff was poor at best.

We found this hotel and a good deal through one of the hotel guides that we picked up crossing the border into NY, as we wanted a nice clean room in a chain hotel on our way to our Canadian vacation.

The hotel was not new, but seemed fresh, and the room was clean. Also, the room was a good size, with two full-size beds, a desk, and still a lot of space in the room. The bathroom was also clean and large. Free WiFi is also appreciated.

The breakfast buffet was fine, typical quick hotel fare. All of the coworkers we encountered were friendly and helpful. We will stay here again on our trip through next year!

There was a time when the Comfort Inn/Choice Hotels chain was our first choice while travelling. The motels were generally clean, comfortable, well-maintained and reasonably priced. That was an age ago. At our recent stay near Binghamton, NY, as well as other CI around the country as we travelled, we were upset eough to donate our Choice Rewards points to charity and vow never to stay at one again.
Specifically, while the lobby and public area were clean and inviting, the room was rather shabby and dark ( those dang "clean energy bulbs"). Bathroom fixtures were tarnished, the mold showing in the grout, and the towels--well they were ready for the nearest carwash for wipe swabs. Bedsheets and pillow cases were dingy grey and looked suspiciously slept in, though they were probably just horribly used up and wrinkled. I guess the hotel mgt. opted for a no bleach, low price detergent. For the price, $120! we could have stayed at the Motel 6 next door three times and had the same standards. I suggest any traveller do so. Goodbye Comfort Inns--we will stay anywhere else.

My husband and I were on a trip to niagara and stopped here for the night. The room we had booked was non-smoking but the room was filled with smoke. The entire hallway was also stinking of smoke. The bedsheets were dirty. The breakfast tasted old. The overall stay at the hotel was horrible for the money we paid for the stay, and we did not get the good nights rest we needed. We will never stay at this hotel. No value for the price.

Needed to stop overnight on a trip from upstate to NYC and this hotel was easy acess right off Route 81/17. I was fortunate to get the last room - guess there were several groups staying there--and even though it faced the main road, I didn't hear the traffic. The lobby is bright and clean and there are two computers for your use - slow but they do work. There is a very good selection of foods for breakfast and several newspapers to choose from. There are also magazines in the lobby to help pass the time. The toilet and tub are in separate room while the sink was part of the bedroom which actually might be helpful for families. There are lots of family-friendly chain restaurants on this road and, if you're a visitor to this part of NY, try eating at the Spiedie Rib Pit for a local taste.

We stayed here on our way to Corning. As noted, the hotel is in need of upgrading. That said, our room was clean, the WiFi worked well, and breakfast was fine. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby area was well lit and provided me a good place to read in the middle of the night when I needed to. Happily, they had an air pot of hot water available 24-7! :) They also had a pool on site that appeared to be a bit longer than most hotel pools...a good thing but I didn't have my suit with me.

Room Tip: Staying here was a pragmatic choice.

For over $100 we had the displeasure of listening to transport trucks and their airbrakes on highway 81, just beside the hotel. The hallways were clean, but worn and old, the room was big enough, but had an old 27" CRT television and the barest of amenities. The only positive thing I can report is that the staff were pleasant.
