Ranked #15 of 25 Restaurants in Bridgehampton
Description: The Bridgehampton Inn is co-owned and operated by Sybille van Kempen and Anna Pump of the Hamptons-revered Loaves & Fishes Food Store and Loaves & Fishes Cookshop. Yet as Anna would say, “The restaurant is Sybille’s baby.” The last 10+ years of the Bridgehampton Inn offered a flourishing recreational and professional level cooking school, on-and-off-premise catering, coupled with traditional inn accommodations. For what’s felt like a long time coming, the fine dining restaurant has transformed this space into the newly renamed Bridgehampton Inn & Restaurant. The Inn is currently undergoing a second renovation, which will realize the addition of more rooms and a variety store to our already plentiful grounds in the spring of 2015 -- room booking begins May 1st!

Indoors and out, quite spaces are such a refreshing alternative to large noisy eateries. Lots of small rooms create an intimate setting for a lovely meal...interesting menu. Was dubious about burrata with chipotle strawberries, but turned out to be a good choice, with a bit of crunch on the strawberries, too. Fattoush salad large and nice. Duck confit very good as was the shrimp chimichurri with roasted rattatouille. Good wine, good coffee, good service. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but step in for a lovely dining experience.

Best bar on the East End. A series of nicely appointed rooms, a terrace in warmer weather, a menu that changes weekly. Everything I've tired here has been excellent. The owner's son is the bartender and he's one of the best at his craft I've ever encountered. Highly recommended.

I have eaten twice at Bridgehampton Inn, and both times the food was excellent, interestingly prepared, and served by very pleasant wait staff. I would especially recommend the roasted vegetable and fruit bowl appetizer which is extremely fresh and tasteful. The dining room is very comfortable, but on both occasions there were very few other guests in attendance, which somewhat limited the vibe of dining there. My only complaint is that they charge separately for bread which, considering the prices at this restaurant, seems excessive and somewhat greedy, especially since the bread, while good, is nothing exceptional. I will return again, but suggest that management consider this policy, particularly after I'm seeing that other reviewers made similar comments.

Lovely setting for winter or summer dining. Menu changes with the seasons. Menu posted online so you can view what will be served when you wish to visit.

Very mediocre food and very high end prices. Perhaps a problem at some Hamptons restaurants but certainly not all. Service was at best spotty. Restaurant was understaffed as far as service staffing goes. Our waitress was sweet young women who tried but service was not up to par for so pricey a menu. Main courses were mostly around $40. a pop. If you are going to charge that then they better be very good and the service should match. Such was not the case, not even close. Food was mostly mediocre, and again, service was poor. Just down the road is another restaurant with slightly lesser prices and much better food and service. $18 for a cocktail is expensive by any standard, but the one that was ordered by a member of our party was not as described in the menu nor was it very good. Also the bread which costs $6 per serving was not good even if it had been served gratis. Try another place.
