This place is absolutely lovely. I stayed here for one night with three friends and we had a blast. There was enough space for all four of us without feeling cramped- one on the loft bed, one on the pullout couch, and two of us in our own sleeping bags (but the bed and couch could definitely fit two each). It's an ideal place for either a couple's getaway or a few friends to set up base while they hike in the surrounding mountains.
This cottage is gorgeous, both in terms of location and style. Nestled in the mountains just a couple of miles away from Phoenicia, there's a beautiful view as soon as you step outside. The interior reflects the owners' talents- Dara's artistic flair and her husband Dave's awesome carpentry skills. The bathroom is well-designed with a spacious shower, and the mini kitchen area was a great bonus! It had a sink, a microwave, a hotplate, an electric kettle, a french press, and a mini fridge, plus numerous amenities to make us feel at home.
Dara and Dave were pretty much the best hosts any guest could ask for. Even though we arrived a bit on the late side we were greeted with such a warm welcome. The sky above was filled with stars (even the Milky Way was visible!) and my friend, who had brought his camera, was disappointed he didn't have his tripod with him. Without a second thought Dara graciously lent him two of her own tripods, and he was able to capture some gorgeous exposures of the night sky. Just one example of the hospitality we received.
Overall I am so happy we chose to stay here, and I guarantee anyone who makes the same decision will have a great time!
This is a charming cottage with wonderful owners. We picked our own garden vegetables, slept in the cozy loft to the sound of the rain, and had a campfire under the stars.
Dave and Dara are wonderful hosts, available for all of our needs, yet gave us total privacy.
The cottage is filled with beautiful artwork, is immaculately clean, and has everything you need.
We had an amazing time. Our place was very welcoming. The tenants were strangers but seemed more like family. We would definitely stay there again. Quiet and serene with beautiful gardens. They even provided breakfast every morning.
