We were surrounded by 3 roads/highways right by our window, the noise of trucks, cars and buses all night long keep us awake. For $200 a night I guess I expect to sleep....

The room itself was ok it did have a kitchen with cook top which we like. But two sets of blinds, a bar stool and TV stand were all broken which was strange. The pool and hottub were too filthy to use. The hottub was only 1/2 filled with white funk on the walls of the pool. It didn't look remotely clean or useable.

As usual with Marriot the pillows were awful, small and thin. I don't get Marriots its either hit or miss. When they are good they are REALLY good when they are bad they are really bad, no in between here.

Marriot rewards is a joke, we have tried 3x to use our "free" night, yet we are NEVER allowed to use it they always have a reason.

Pro's-kitchen with cooktop (no stove), 3 resturants close by, close to grocery store, right off highway (both good and bad for noise), lot's of good cable channels.

Cons-noise, pillows, dirty pool and room with broken items.

Room Tip: back of hotel away from roads

We’re very sorry to hear you were not happy with your stay, though we appreciate the feedback. You’re absolutely right: Guests should expect a quiet and comfortable stay, with everything in working order. I have already relayed your comments to our maintenance staff.

It is quite rare that we get noise complaints regarding outside traffic, as our hotel is set back from the major roads. It does occasionally happen, but please understand that this is not the norm.

I hope you will keep us in mind the next time you are in the area, and give us another shot. I’m confident we can make your next stay comfortable and welcoming. And please do not hesitate to call me directly to further discuss these matters. Maya Soler, General Manager

We chose this hotel when attending a family function in the Albany, NY area. We rented a 2 bedroom suite, which had two large bedrooms with separate bathrooms, full kitchen and breakfast included. They have a gym, whirlpool and full swimming pool. There is also a basketball court, which is great for teens traveling with family. You have shopping near and several restuarants to choose from. I definately recommend this hotel.

We stayed one night in July. Just passing through the area. This hotel is very convenient to the Thruway but far enough off the main road in a secluded, quiet location. Low rise buildings in an attractive configuration. Our room was near the back on the main level and we could use a side entrance door and be just outside our room. Found staff and hotel to be great. Would definitely stay again. Room had full kitchen and was all we needed.

Room Tip: Lower level at back/side gives you parking literally outside your door

We booked a one-bedroom suite here for a quick trip to visit family in Albany. Initially we were a little put off that it wasn't closer to downtown, but since access to highways was excellent, the 6 extra miles made no difference in the end. In addition, the area had many other lodging and restaurant options, settled into the green hills off the highway - a much quieter location than you find closer to the city or airport.

The Residence Inn is set back just off route 90 in a green, wooded area near a Tech Park, which provides a much quieter setting than we had expected. It is clean, bright, and well-kept; not the newest in the chain, but very well maintained with a friendly, helpful staff. Our room was a small, one-bedroom queen suite with a pullout full sofabed in the sitting area which our son used. The bathroom was located in the master bedroom. Both sitting and bedroom had televisions, and the sitting room had a well-provisioned efficiency kitchen with full refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop and microwave. Down the hallway was a coin-operated laundry-room. A full, hot breakfast buffet was included in the room rate, and though we didn't try it, there is an indoor pool, gym, and short-court basketball court. The hotel seemed very busy the weekend we were there with other families who were passing through on vacations, and we noticed that the hotel has a pet-friendly policy. We had lunch at the nearby Cracker Barrell restaurant which was surprisingly good and very reasonable.

It's very likely we'll make this our go-to place to stay when visiting family here in the future. The suite arrangement is comfortable and convenient, and highway access excellent, staff pleasant and responsive, and rates more reasonable than similar lodgings (if you can find them) downtown. This hotel also has two-bedroom suites available, a great convenience for larger groups and families. The bed in this particular room was not quite as luxurious as we often find in Marriott-brand hotels, but was fine for the two nights we were there. We have had good luck with Marriott offerings and were very pleased with this off-the-beaten track gem.

We stayed at here while in Albany for the Joyce Meyer Conference. The location was very convenient with a 10-minute link to downtown Albany. There is a mall area quite close by for shopping and restaurants. The suite itself was very clean and spacious. Breakfast is included in the deal and the buffet has several choices for different tastes.
