We didn't stay at the Inn, Instead we had August reservations for an evening dinner on the terrace. While waiting for our reservation,we took a walk in the beautiful architecture of the gardens and sat above the lake with a glass of wine watching the boats and birds. Once seated, a great Jazz band with Johnny Russo entertained us while we wined and dined under a clear moonlit night. The service was good, the food was very good and the atmosphere and entertainment were excellent.

Very elegant, but understated villa right on Seneca Lake in Geneva, NY. "Room" was really like a small apartment, with separate living room and kitchen. Very comfortably furnished. Restauant is a bit pricey, but the food was fantastic. It is also small so be sure to make reservations to eat there well in advance. Wonderful pianist played throughout dinner...very nice atmosphere. Service was excellent all around..all staff very eager to please. Slight drawback is lack of elevators...we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to top level, but not a problem for us. Definitely recommend and will stay there again.

My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Also had a nice day tasting at local wineries. We would stay here again.

My husband and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary at the beginning of the week with a quick getaway to Geneva on the Lake.
The grounds of the Mansion are beautiful and well tended and it is lovely looking out onto the lake. Our one bedroom suite was quite nice but really could use a bit of a facelift.
Some of the furnishings are a bit tired and there is a mustiness in the stairways.
Everyone was very pleasant and helpful.... although one woman in the morning at front desk was a bit aloof.
Dinner was quite good....oldtime menu but the shrimp and lobster were fresh.
Candlelight and piano music enjoyable.

We spent half a week at Geneva on the lake. We booked online, seduced by the "ok" website that displays very nice pictures. Getting there was quite a disapointment. Everything is old and need to be improved or redone: building, rooms (dust, spider web...), amenities. Service is quite poor as well. Our stay remained ok thanks to 1/ great location, 2/ good food and 3/ good weather.
This is place is located in such a great spot, it's a total shame not to take better care of it. It reminds me these old palace that haven't been well maintained. They still have a kind of something but when everything gets outdated prices need to go down and obviously this hasn't been the case.
We had dinner at Bellhurst one night. For around the same price I would recommand staying there.
