We traveled up the Delaware River and were so happy to find this wonderful motel. It was spotless and friendly and had a beautiful view of the forks of the Delaware River.
We will definitely stay there whenever our travels take us that way.

We put together a fly fishing trip together for my Dad for Christmas this year. It included a guided day on the Delaware River and a few days of fishing fun together with my husband and me, who were novices. We couldn’t have picked a better home base for our adventures! This motel is clean, cute, cozy and has the amenities you need to make your stay functional (a coffee maker, a microwave and fridge, a table to do work, a tv if you can tear yourself away from the unobstructed stars outside). Highly, highly recommend this for folks looking to stay in the area, either for fishing or motorcycling or working. Lovely caretakers of the property, and you just can’t beat the view!

We spent one night in this lovely motel with its large, well-kept rooms. Besides the double beds, there was a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and a table and chairs. The manager recommended a nearby quiet picnic spot by the Deleware River that was wonderful. If we are in the area, we will stay here again. It suited us perfectly.

We stumble upon the Smith's colonial by chance...and we LOVED it. Amazing views from every room. Rooms have everything one needs for a comfortable stay: comfy beds, coffee maker, small fridge, and a nice shower. And they accept pets!

What a found treasure in the village of Hancock, New York. My wife and I were looking for a piece of property along the Delaware River. We are into canoeing and kayaking so it would make sense to look around the river.. We spent most of the day exploring with the local realtor...Having completed out task, we decided to stay over night instead of driving back to Long Island approximately 4 hours. At the request of our Realtor, he suggested to try Smiths Colonial Hotel in the Village of Handcock. We contacted the proprietor of the establishment and spent the night. Walking in to Smiths, we were greeted with a smile and a warm Welcome..really nice people.Husband and wife. They were happy that we called ahead so they can turn the heat in the room. Upon entering the room, we were greeted to a cozy little room with all the commodities. microwave, mini frog flat screen TV and two double beds covered in quilts..the room was lined with vertical tong and groves pine knotted wood stained in a beautiful golden oak finish.. the bathroom was typical but very clean..as a matter of fact, the place was very clean...Marine clean. The next morning we woke up to a beautiful view of the Delaware River...Believe it or not...$ 66.00 for the night. P.S. the beads were extremely comfortable as well as the pillows...Highy recommendated...a true secret.
