Pleasant dining experience with good food focusing on American standards. Space is traditional with additional outdoor dining. Service is solid and not rushed. Food is nicely prepared. Only issue was the lack of the brunch menu that was online.

Country setting, historic site. Received warm welcome. Indoor and outside seating.
We sat upstairs, had the table all night to catch up on things. Never rush. Waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. No one was disappointed with their choices, I enjoyed the watermelon salad with oranges , feta cheese over arugula. Others bragged about the almond crusted Brie cheese with garlic crostini, beet salad straight from the farm as well as the potato leek soup suggested entries are salmon with trip color cauliflower, whipped potatoes, filet mignon, and seared tuna over salad. Ice cream for dessert was delicious but the raspberry chocolate cheese cake was so so. Pricey but worth the quality and service. Will return!

The restaurant experience - as a whole was "fine" - it's a pretty place, the staff is friendly (but not well trained) the food was good ( not great and overpriced for what it was). My husband ordered the salmon and enjoyed it, I ordered an expensive dry aged steak that was just OK and came with smashed potatoes that were unspectacular. Ditto for the chocolate torte - OK but not spectacular. The kids clearing and serving were sweet, but cleared our silverware completely after a salad course (beet salad was very good) and then brought my steak with a steak knife and didn't realize I didn't have a fork. Took a few minutes to get one. We were seated upstairs which was very pretty, but unfortunately were placed next to a table of four "loud talkers" so, no, it didn't feel romantic. We would try the restaurant again but aim for lower priced entrees and skip dessert.

Went to a business lunch meeting today. I have never been here before and the place was recommended. This was a good recommendation! The restaurant is off the main road and offered a quiet and peaceful setting. The interior of the restaurant was warm and friendly. The staff was friendly and attentive. We had sandwiches for lunch. The food was fantastic! The meals were hearty. They left no room for dessert.
