We stayed at the Top of the World Resort and decided to dine in their restaurant one evening. The food was very flavorful and the portions were perfect. We ordered the beet salad and the gnocchi as appetizers to share. They were both delicious. As an entree, I had the chicken francaise which came with risotto and an abundant amount of fresh vegetables, while my husband had the penne with blackened shrimp. He ordered the creme brulee for dessert.
In our opinion, the Adirondack Restaurant at Top of the World Resort far exceeded the experience we had the previous night at George's Restaurant which lacked flavour and hospitality. Additionally, the cost of our meal was significantly less at Top of the World.
Because we stayed at the resort, we also had breakfast included. The quality of the breakfast was every bit as good as our dinner. We were offered muffins, yoghurt, coffee, and juice, as well as a hot meal. The vegetable frittata came with sausages, sauteed spinach and fresh fruit, while the french toast came with walnuts and baked apples, sausages and fresh fruit.
The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. A true sign of excellence is when locals come to the restaurant and bar. We will be returning.
