We wanted to eat a light lunch and were told by a new friend to try this place before it becomes famous .... and more expensive.
Tables inside were taken and we were directed to the small covered Veranda.... not as smart as the inside... never mind.
I understand that in the past ladies in small groups were meeting there for a simple and not expensive snack, now the new menu with adequate prices is offering a bit more and obviously tries to attract a different clientele - for lunch!
We had the most delicious fresh Scottish salmon of the day, cooked pink, accompanied by an attractive and tasty salad ( not covered with the usual balsamic vinegar). As a curiosity I asked for Sauce Tartar and was served an intriguing brown honey sauce, really nice but out of place.... the waitress was grateful ( I hope? ) to find out a bit more about its composition. Aqua Panna is the house water and not expensive.
The wine list is a professional masterpiece and so their wine pricing policy, unique in this country where Hotels take tourist for a ride with up to 400% mark up.
We order beer and there was only Heineken on the list..... why not the award winning local Phoenix????
We left happy, satisfied and surprised by the modest amount of the bill....just over Euro 30.--
