The antique skis, antler light fixtures and heavy wooden beams make for an interesting and pleasing contrast to the stainless steel appliances in the homey yet sophisticated suites. The patio and fireplace are must-haves for multiple day visits and even then you probably won't be able to take advantage of all the included amenities.
My favorites included the indoor-outdoor pool nicely heated for late night swims, the poolside yoga classes, the sauna in the spa, the movie theater and free popcorn, the nightly campfire with s'mores, free chocolate chip cookies and coffee available all day, shuttle services to downtown and the golf course, good advice from the golf pro, interesting chats with the other guests and the local valet guys, shopping at the antique store next door (better gift prices than downtown stores) a well-stocked library and games room.
The breakfast buffet (extra charge) was worth it for the cheesy eggs alone and a personalized cocktail based on the bartender's series of questions was worth the extra cash too.
There were a few minor mistakes regarding the scheduling of free classes so be sure and check those with a quick phone call in the morning. Although I traveled with a small group, I would really enjoy spending time alone here too as the place felt friendly, but not "in your face" or fake - just relaxed.More
