We stayed at The Arnold for 2 nights in the winter. We booked a package deal that included massages and dinner for 2. There was a comedy show when we went which turned out to be a GREAT show!
The feel of the hotel is very rustic and chic. The common area is very relaxing and charming complete with a fireplace, sheepskin and craftsman style accents.
The service offered was wonderful (both pre-arrival and check-in process). They were clear and very forthcoming about the rooms and the activities offered.
The breakfast spread was disappointing. It was very imbalanced in that it offered too much carbs, no fruit selection, minimal protein (hard boiled eggs).
The rooms are simply and tastefully furnished (mostly IKEA, including bed frame, mattress and linen). If you're a light sleeper, I recommend you ask for Room #9 (King room) as it is in the most quiet part of the hotel.
We had dinner at the Tavern on Saturday night before the comedy show. The grilled Calamari appetizer was excellent. I highly recommend it.
The spa experience was the low point of the entire stay. I had requested 2 deep tissue massages. When we arrived at the spa and went into our rooms, I was told by my therapist that she does not do deep tissue... Oh well!More
