The Fairfield Inn and Suites (New York Queens/Queensboro Bridge) was an excellent choice of hotel for my NYC vacation. It's a short walk to the subway station which makes it very easy to get around town.

Currently there is construction in the area, but this does not create any problems. As mentioned in another post, you can hear the trains but not to an amount that they are a problem. Also, our room was located just across the hall from the elevator which I thought would be a big noise problem, however we never heard a sound from anything happening in the hallways.

The breakfast menu is typical hotel breakfast... waffles, egg omelet, scrambled eggs, cereal, pastries, etc. The waffles with fresh fruit and whipped cream was very good. the only negative regarding the breakfast was the meat selections ... not as tasty as what you get at home, but OK (except the turkey sausage was not tasty).

Our room was very clean, as well the entire hotel.

For me was absolutely perfect, I couldn’t Pay Manhattan hotels plus the museums, shows, etc. So we decided save money in the room and expend in fun and this Hotel was perfectly located two station away from Manhattan a short walk from station QUEENS PLAZA, the staff was very kind, the room always clean, breakfast good and we definitely want to come back.

The Fairfield Inn in Long Island City is located in an upcoming, going to soon be, a very built up area of Queens. The whole are around the hotel is being knocked down and rebuilt so fast I don't think that the hotel even knows who their future customers will be.

The hotel is typical suburban type hotel with not frills but it is really clean and the beds are so comfortable that both of us fell asleep quickly. The room was very plain but nice and we had a spectacular view of new Long Island City skyline.

The breakfast the next day was a standard complimentary breakfast with omelettes, waffle bar, cereals and fresh fruit. Very nice and there was plenty of food. The breakfast server was working overtime to get everything ready and did a great job maintaining everything.

Overall, it was one of the best night's sleep I have had in a long time and it was a great hotel to just relax in. Not much to do in the area but a couple of blocks away there are small restaurants and stores and the park by the East River. In a few years though, this place will be happening.

Great Stay!

Room Tip: Get a room facing the skyline

Clean hotel, close to 3 subway stops. Good variety for breakfast. Yes, you can hear the trains, but after the first day in NYC you’re too tired to care. Excellent sound proofing between the rooms which usually bothers me more than outside noise.

My girlfriend and I visited New York for 7 days the last week of may, we arrived on the Friday afternoon and where greeted by a receptionist and a bell hop who took are bags to our room, the room was very large for New York and is defiantly worth the short subway ride to Manhattan (the subway station is only a 3-4 min walk down 1 road).

The room had a small bath and a shower, a wardrobe with a safe in there and a iron and ironing board and hairdryer, there was also a large tv, coffee machine, white noise machine, a large desk and chair, a small stool and an air conditioning unit by the window. The room was cleaned daily and they replenished the toiletries.

The breakfast was great there was a good selection of food, some items changed every few days which was nice there was even a waffle machine and Reece’s pieces for breakfast.

There was a 7/11 just down the road and a few restaurants within walking distance there were two nearby subway stations and it only takes 20-30 minuets to get into central Manhattan at a fraction of the price of a yellow cab.

Overall was a nice hotel in a good location that wasn’t to busy and would defiantly stay here again
