Stayed for 3 nights in early October, in cottage #5, the Hermitage. Bigger and nicer than the pictures on their website! Clean, nice bathroom, comfy bed, well appointed with kitchen items, and a great view out the windows and from our small ,front porch. The parking spot was so convenient too, right at the bottom of the few steps leading up to porch, which made loading/unloading a breeze. And the WONDERFUL beach was only a few steps away!! There were nice beach chairs, hammocks, canoes/kayaks, docks, and a bonfire ring on the beach, which we enjoyed using and meeting new friends!! Although they have kayaks for rent, we brought our own, since we were planning on using them all day for a couple days. Great lake to kayak on, lots of state land on north end to dock and explore. We also walked to the Adirondack Hotel from our cottage for dinner and drinks, very easy walk, and safer than driving! Loved our stay, can't wait to return!

Room tip: Hermitage #5 is perfect for 2, very close to beach too.

We spent a night in the motel and a weekend in a cabin, because there were very few vacancies, even in the off season. We love the forethought that went into the layout of the motel rooms (each are offset and have a screened-in patio that offers a view of the lake.
Our cabin, "Chipmunk" was very solidly built. No creaking floors, just solid wood interior.
There is a large sand beach with every type of lounge chair plus hammocks. There are also campfire rings on the side of the beach. So many things are available to borrow/use while you're there: canoes, kayaks, ping pong, pool, DVDs, books, puzzles. The landscaping is wonderful, really great!. Hosts are friendly and helpful.
We took advantage of the seaplane rides offered nearby, and walked to town a couple times a day. The local store is open until 11 PM (!!!!) and the Long Lake Diner is worth the time to experience. We are making plans to return with our grown children next year!

Room tip: The bed in the cabin was much more comfortable than the bed in the motel room.

This establishment is stunning! The property is beautifully maintained and the staff is extremely helpful and kind. They go above and beyond for their guests. I've visited numerous times throughout the years and they always aim to please. The property has undergone many modern updates, without losing it's rustic feel. It's truly a magical place with so much to offer its guests, including beachfront access, boat docking, ping pong tables in the pavilion, a DVD collection to borrow movies for rainy days, kayaks, canoes, and so much more. Love, love, love this place entirely! A must stay when visiting ADK!

Room tip: Motel Room number 19 opens its door to the lake.

So glad we found this hidden gem on Long Lake.......beautiful grounds and cottages, and wonderful beach. Lots of 'toys' to use on the lake in this secluded spot which is close enough to town to walk to dinner. We stayed in the motel - the room was large, the view was beautiful, there was a screened in porch, refrigerator and microwave for our room - they seem to have thought of everything to make our stay convenient and comfortable. There is also a covered pavilion with pool and ping pong tables, picnic tables and a grill. This is a great place for couples or families to enjoy the Adirondacks.......

Ditto to all the good things others have said - lovely and quiet, well-kept, beautiful plantings. Stayed in a cottage that was reached by stairs (so ask about location if you have mobility issues). Easy access to attractions in Tupper Lake, Blue Mountain Lake, and Newcomb.
